Shopping mall anchors

Hi. I understand you are doing your part in cleaning up articles on Philippine shopping malls and making sure they don't appear promotional. I would suggest you try to look around and check out other shopping mall articles though like those in the US to understand that it is perfectly okay to mention their malls main anchors. It is in those main anchors like department stores, supermarkets, other big tenants that malls are recognized and identifiable to the readers. They are therefore notable and should be included in the malls descriptions. For instance, this shopping mall has an IMAX cinema, whereas this one doesn't. This mall has a Rustan's dept store and DFA passport service center, while the other one has ice skating and a Convergys call center. Check out Mall of America and Fashion Show Mall for instance. Thanks! We can limit our clean up to eliminating only the non-major tenants.--RioHondo (talk) 13:38, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe a paragraph like the one found in the Mall of America article is better than a list with the latter being more subtle and less promotional than the latter. To be honest, I felt that listing the anchors give preference over the "non-anchor" tenants. I have no problems with mentioning IMAX cinemas and ice skating rinks. The only other problem is citing references for anchors.--Hariboneagle927 (talk) 14:00, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sure there'd be no problem filling in references for anchor stores considering malls are a big thing in the Philippines and they always land in the local news. The thing with anchor stores is that being the biggest occupants in malls, they get more coverage hence notability, as opposed to non-anchors which more or less "can be found in most other malls". It's anchors that set them apart from all the others. And there's normally only one or two supermarkets, department stores, etc in any given mall, all the rest are small retailers which would be harder to prove notability for. I agree with you tho that the paragraph form is more ideal for WP, but lists aren't that bad as long as they only mention those main anchors.--RioHondo (talk) 10:50, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the Philippines at the 2017 Sea Games Article

I believe that its not too early to make that article besides it contains the basic content for a sport event. No profanity or whatsoever was included, just basic and blank/incomplete data. but thank you anyway for reminding me to plan when to write an article. Just a note to say that if you intend to create an article on the ferry, it should be at MV Kim Nirvana. Mjroots (talk) 12:50, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm Rankersbo (talk). I just wanted to let you know that a page called Draft:2011 Palarong Pambansa, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

I have postponed deletion for another 6 months, because I notice that there are articles on this event in other years. As you have contributed to some of these other articles in this series of events, I wondered if you would be able to take a look at this one and see if it could be tidied up and brought into wikipedia?

Hope you can help.

Regards,

Philippines at the Southeast Asian Games

Hi, @Hariboneagle927: no creating to article is Philippines at the Southeast Asian Games that. Thanks! :) Boyconga278 (talk) 07:20, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The question is why? The Southeast Asian Games is a regional tournament. It doesn't mean that there are no articles for the other countries doesn't mean it is notable enough? Why nominate it for deletion instead if you believe that such article shouldn't be created.--Hariboneagle927 (talk) 07:25, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Why not an article of Philippines at the Southeast Asian Games in general if there is Philippines at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games, Philippines at the 2013 Southeast Asian Games and so on...--Hariboneagle927 (talk) 07:30, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Article Tracking

Sir can you track 2015 William Jones Cup from vandalism from other users? I mean if someone vandalizes the page, can you revert it? Because I cannot revert it so easily. Thanks! Marc (talk) 03:20, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Clicking "Revert" in "View History" sometimes doesn't work. I afraid that you have to revert it manually. You may copy from a "non-vandalized" version of the page" Click the date of the version of the page prior to the vandalism. For example:

(cur | prev) 09:37, 1 September 2015‎ 121.58.221.23 (talk)‎ . . (12,550 bytes) (0)‎ . . (→‎By country) (undo)

Click on "1 September 2015" which will direct you to the page as seen in 09:37 of September 1, 2015. Click on "Edit" to copy the original content prior to the vandalism and then edit the current article and paste the original content over the vandalized page.

Also you can click on the star to put the article on your watch list if you haven't done so.

However, I won't consider this as vandalism. The editor may have edited in good faith changing some of the teams name to their country of origin. Because some sources on the tournament make it appear that it is a tournament purely for national teams which is not true. I have notified the user regarding the concern.--Hariboneagle927 (talk) 03:33, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
