Not looking good for the Ford Falcon article

In the past couple of months, I have noticed that the Ford Falcon article is not progressing well. This is probably due to the fact that information is very hard to find and most of the info on the Ford Falcon article is not based on facts that have been referenced. OSX agrees that it is not looking good for the Ford Falcon article. The best thing to do now is to change focus on to a different article and maybe latter return to the Falcon article.SenatorsTalk | Contribs 06:47, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

New pics of the 08’ Falcon

If you have not noticed already, Wheels Magazine has released some pictures of the new 2008 Ford Falcon performance models and some information with it. The information in the magazine is reliable; some guy found it discarded in a Melbourne dump. Some time soon I am going to add that info to the Falcon article. It will be a lot of info.

P.S. - If you can please buy the magazine the information and pictures are priceless.SenatorsTalk | Contribs 07:13, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

  • I did not say that you have to put those pictures on the Falcon article, I just was telling you because you are very much interested on the Falcon, when I first read it I was shocked for the first time in many years FPV returns the fire!! I have added some info I got from it though.SenatorsTalk | Contribs 23:15, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
  • I saw it in the Satuday paper in The Courier Mail. But you can see it here by following this link article.

P.S. - did you see the info I put on the Ford Falcon article in Orion section, I took it straight from Wheels Magazine.SenatorsTalk | Contribs 02:12, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

What you could do

I am not a expert on what needs to be fixed on the Holden Commodore article, I have changed my focus to copy/editing articles rather than totally revamping the Commodore article. It is in your best interest to ask someone else like, OSX or VectorD for some help on your question.

Also on another topic, the new FPV pictures that I have seen in the Wheels magazine. I have one statement from a true car lover. The Enzo Ferrari is a magnificant european sports car, there is no questions here. But, imagine if they made a Ford Falcon look like a Enzo Ferrari it would look really bad. This is due to the fact that the Falcon is an Australian family car not a european sports car. The AU Falcon was a classic example on what not to do to a car. Yes the AU Falcon's design looked good on a Ford Focus but on a much more expensive car like an Australian Family car it just looks out of place. This should clear some things up for you.SenatorsTalk | Contribs 07:31, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Re:Holden Commodore

Sorry Harrison but I can't copyedit that article. I'm hardly on WP at the moment and just don't have time. Sorry. Sarah 12:54, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

RE:Old Army buddy

Hello, I remember you. You have gotten a snazzy userpage set up. Hope you are well SGGH speak! 17:30, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Do you mean the stars? Those are for my featured articles, and the golden wiki thing just shows that I am an administrator. If you click on my "useful links" tab, the one that goes to "SGGH/top" is for that. Click "edit this page" to have a look at the coding if you like, don't worry you can't make a mistake with it, I protected it when I made it. SGGH speak! 11:56, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Adminship for Senators

Do you think that I should become an administrator in the near future, or do you think I should become one right now? Please can you answer these questions on my talk page so I can get a collaboration of other opinions on my talk page.SenatorsTalk | Contribs 01:16, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

What are you talking about?

I do not understand your message you recently left me. For some strange reason it hyperlinks to VectorD’s talk page. Please explain that message in more detail please. I have left some info on VectorD's talk page, I think that is what you wanted.SenatorsTalk | Contribs 06:20, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Adoption request and userbox problems

I have noticed that you want to adopt someone. I have looked at you recent edits and the way you act on Wikipedia and personally I think you should not adopt someone due to your inexperience on Wikipedia. This is just my opinion you do not have to implement what I have mentioned. Also I see that you have a userbox stating that you help the Ford BA Falcon article become a Good Article. I wish you would advocate (remove) that userbox from your page due to the fact that you have only contributed to that article 7 times, if you do not remove that userbox within a week, I will remove it. Just a few things

What projects are you currently working on? I am working on the Holden WM Caprice article and eventually I am going to get it classed as a Good Article. This is towards the Australian cars portal. I still think that it is going to take a lone time to get the portal up and running. The articles below are the individual articles that are classed as good articles.

The articles below are the individual articles that could be classed as Good Articles in the future.

  • Holden WM Caprice - I am currently working on this article
  • Mitsubishi Magna - Does need a major revamping, the references are set up like a train wreck.
  • Toyota Aurion – Reads well but has no references; it will take a long time to get these references.

Personally HarrisonB, I think you should, just like me, stick to easier articles but at the same time still important to the upcoming portal. Try not to select a car that has many variants, because it simply takes to long to get it to Good Article status. That is why I have chosen the Holden WM Caprice article because it will take less work to become a Good Article in the near future. Happy editing!SenatorsTalk | Contribs 02:28, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: C:DOS RUN

Copied from User talk:Tewy: Tewy, has this motto got enough support votes yet? How many does it need? HarrisonB Speak! 03:58, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Edit 1 certainly has enough to be approved. I generally go by if there are at least three votes or so, and only if they're all in support. If there's an oppose vote, the motto would need a few more support votes to show that the community supports it. You kind of have to go by your gut feeling, I suppose; there's no real formula to decide a motto's outcome, especially when just a trickle of votes are flowing through the nominations page. --Tewy 18:19, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

I noticed that all the links in your Main Menu template (User:HarrisonB/Main Menu) all linked to your your subpages of your old username, HB4026, which then redirected to your HarrisonB subpages; so I fixed the links so that they point the right way. Hope you don't mind, –sebi 04:54, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

what needs to be done

In response to that question you left on my talk page, I think you should (if you want to) work on the Toyota Aurion article mainly focusing on the references that the article desparetly needs. Once those have been done I will update you further.SenatorsTalk | Contribs 06:33, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

It's relatively simple if you know the steps:

  1. Go to a SHA-512 (or any hasher of your choice, such as the one available here), type in a secret string, and click "Get Hash"
  2. Copy this line to the bottom (top or middle, the position isn't really pertinent): {{User committed identity|HASH}}, where "HASH" is the result of the hash you received in step 1.
  3. I cannot emphasize this enough: REMEMBER YOUR SECRET STRING

That should do the trick. Animum 16:39, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

It looks good to me. Animum 02:52, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Expand templates

Recently you added seven expand templates to the Toyota Aurion article. You don’t really need so much templates, one expand template will be sufficient for the specification section. I have removed them all and replaced them with one.SenatorsTalk | Contribs 04:59, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

What should you do

It is your decision in the end to go work on any sort of article you want. But if you want to work on the cars portal it is in your best interest to work on Australian cars. The Subaru Liberty is not an Australian car. In the future I will answer you questions on my talk page.SenatorsTalk | Contribs 06:41, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
