Following some years of research, the biographical entry 'Harry DeArmond' was created by this contributor in October, 2004. Harry DeArmond was closely involved as a designer with Bud Rowe's companies Rowe Industries Inc./H. N. Rowe & Company/Rowe DeArmond Inc. in Toledo, Ohio from the late 1930s to the mid 1970s. He was a musician and inventor and held several patents, as did Bud Rowe.

Unlike other major musical instrument pickup manufacturers such as Epiphone, Fender, Gibson and Rickenbacker, nothing has yet been published on either Harry DeArmond or the companies associated with him.

The website [1] was created by this contributor in November 2010 with the intention of making information available on every product produced by the DeArmond companies in Toledo, Ohio. The time period covered in the website extends to the early 1980s, during which time DeArmond Inc. and later Tosh Electronics's CEO was Steve Tosh.
