A tag has been placed on Draft:Ajai Sharma, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Dear McMatte,
Thank you for taking the time to review the page and for providing guidance on the appropriate steps to contest the nomination for speedy deletion. I genuinely believe that the content on the page is presented in a neutral and informative manner, in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I understand the importance of maintaining Wikipedia's integrity and assure you that the intention behind the page was purely to contribute valuable and unbiased information about a notable figure in the culinary domain.
I will proceed to contest the deletion as advised, and I appreciate any feedback or recommendations you might have to further align the content with Wikipedia's standards.
Thank you for your understanding and for ensuring the quality of content on Wikipedia.
Warm regards, Harshul12124 (talk) 17:45, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Both of your drafts are extremely promotional. Or what would you call language like "renowned chef known for his exceptional culinary skills and passion for cooking", "an enchanting journey undertaken by the intrepid author", etc.?
Incidentally, what is your relationship to this Ajai Sharma character? I will post a separate message below regarding conflicts-of-interest; please read and respond to it. Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:52, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Correction, all three of your drafts. Please do not create multiple copies under different titles. Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 18:01, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Harshul12124. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:52, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dear DoubleGrazing,
Thank you for bringing the conflict of interest guidelines to my attention. I genuinely appreciate the reminder and understand the importance of maintaining neutrality and objectivity in Wikipedia contributions. I would like to assure you that my primary intention is to contribute valuable and accurate information to Wikipedia, and I will strive to adhere to all guidelines.
In light of your feedback, I will refrain from editing or creating articles that might present a potential conflict of interest. Instead, I will use the talk pages for proposing changes and will be transparent about any affiliations I might have. I recognize the importance of transparency and the trust that the Wikipedia community places in its contributors.
I will also take note of the requirements set forth by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use and will ensure that all disclosures are made appropriately.
Once again, thank you for your guidance and oversight. I am committed to upholding the standards and principles of Wikipedia and ensuring the integrity of its content.

Hello Harshul12124. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Ajai Sharma, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Harshul12124. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Harshul12124|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. --Hammersoft (talk) 18:22, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Hammersoft,
I appreciate your diligence in upholding Wikipedia's standards and ensuring the integrity of its content. I understand the concerns you've raised regarding potential undisclosed paid editing. I want to be clear and transparent about my contributions.
I apologize for the oversight in not disclosing my affiliations. I have indeed been compensated for some of the edits I've made, including Draft:Ajai Sharma. I understand the importance of transparency, and I will immediately add the mandatory disclosure to my user page as per the Wikimedia Terms of Use.
I will refrain from making further edits until this matter is fully addressed and resolved. Going forward, I commit to adhering strictly to Wikipedia's guidelines and policies.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Please let me know if there's anything else I can provide to clarify the situation.
Best regards, Harshul12124 (talk) 18:27, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
