Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, P 1 9 9   15:08, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

August 2023[edit]

It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on a biased choice of users' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Proposed Edits to Address Community Concerns and Neutrality

Greetings Layah50,

I'd like to address recent concerns raised by members of our community regarding the naming of the body of water referred to as the "South China Sea." Some contributors have pointed out that the existing naming might lead to biases and tensions, which is not our goal on Wikipedia.

In response to these concerns, I am suggesting that we consider using the term "West Philippine Sea" as a potential alternative. This proposal is rooted in the aim of fostering a more neutral and inclusive environment on Wikipedia. The intention behind this change is to ensure that our platform remains a source of accurate and unbiased information.

I understand that there are diverse perspectives on this topic, and I'm eager to hear from other editors who may have differing viewpoints. Let's engage in a constructive conversation to address this issue and work together to maintain the high standards of reliability and neutrality that Wikipedia upholds.

Thank you for your time and commitment to improving the quality of our articles.
