RfA

Not sure if you've ever deleted the Jimbo Wales article etc., but I think you should be given admin tools. I have seen the debates about the stress and the difficulty of making decisions .... but if you hang about the kitchen, then you will get hot.... if you get my analogy. Personally I have the admin tools and do not find them a great responsibility. (I don't hang around the israeli/ palestine discussion page etc.) They do allow me to do useful DYK stuff. I can lock an article when people are writing "Joe is Gay" over their village article. In the beginning all wikipedians were admins. If your sensible then I think you should be given the tools. I think you easily pass the sensible test... and I don't see your megalomania (which can be very worrying in an admin). Go for it ... unless you cannot take needless and undeserved criticism because the RfA process can deliver this. (as well as strangers saying nice things) It can kick egos for some silly misunderstood edit. If your ego if in trim then go for it. If you think you might stop creating good articles cos someone doesnt like you, then don't apply. We need the articles! :-) Victuallers (talk) 15:06, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Burgess Hill

Hi there,

I was wondering if I could ask for a little help with the Burgess Hill article, and I heard you were somewhat of a local expert. I'm looking to clarify the fact that Burgess Hill, while mainly in West Sussex, is partially in East Sussex, and would like the article to reflect that. It already does to some extent, but it isn't reflected very well in the introduction and the infobox.

I am having particular difficulty citing evidence for Burgess Hill being partly in East Sussex, and was wondering whether you had any idea where I might find a citation for this? The only thing I have come up with so far is an OS map with the county border running through Burgess Hill.

I would also be grateful of any help with rewriting the first paragraph to reflect this.

Yes, that's right; it's a fairly small area of the town, but nonetheless! That's useful to know about the use of maps for citing. I was really quite stumped, so thank you so much for your help!
