Raw veganism

[edit]

On my talk page, you said: How come you keep deleting what I'm writing - I'm trying to add it in with sources. It messsed up the formatting of the page and now it looks bad. Please give me the appropriate time to fix it.

You should work in your sandbox first, and add WP:RS sources there, then have it checked by WP:HELP or invite other editors to review the content and references first. I don't see anything worthwhile so far from the vitamin B12 or 'equipment' edits. Zefr (talk) 18:44, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help. I don't want to add anything to the sandbox if it's not going to be a benefit (like there would be no use trying to make something work that just can't). I was trying to add the WP pages to each item there for support - but while I was working on it - you deleted everything. It would've been nice to check with me first, so my workflow isn't broken - which is it now. Why aren't they valuable? Hawaiisunfun (talk) 19:17, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The sandbox is a place to work out your formatting, grammar, and sources. Don't practice on the live article. Content on equipment is likely promotional, WP:PROMO, off topic for a veganism article, and likely not reviewed by a WP:SCIRS source. Zefr (talk) 21:46, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't practicing my grammar - it's just I build info and then add more. Equipment isn't promotional - it's important to show that raw vegans use dehydrators to heat their food, as it's a part of the special cooking process to not go over 118F. Do you know a lot about raw veganism? I don't mind working with you in a sandbox to get it right and then add it to the article, but as I said - you removed the work as I was working on it. I just want the page to look good and now it's a mess and it's up to us (really you) to fix it. Hawaiisunfun (talk) 23:06, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

All any editor would need to see is the quality of your sources, which should adhere to WP:SCIRS. List them here. Zefr (talk) 00:54, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As I said, I was trying to write them in, but you kept deleting my work. I tried to undo your edit to add sources, but you deleted that. We can't keep fighting like this to where nothing gets done. You can't see my sources if you never let me show you. Instead of outright deleting someone else's work - have you just thought about adding sources yourself? It just seems extremely counterproductive what you do, if not destructive. It's really a common theme unfortunately on WP - which is really not great and I wish to see better. Hawaiisunfun (talk) 21:34, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's not one co-editor, but the community of editors that need to see and provide consensus for your proposed text and sources; WP:CON. If you don't want my help here, start a new discussion on Talk:Raw veganism. Zefr (talk) 21:46, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I was planning on adding the Wikipedia articles that they relate to on it. Would that work? Also, how did the article become so biased? The history section talks about something from the 20th century and talks about a book that isn't even vegan and then talks about the negativities of the diet more than what it's about - which isn't even related to what the diet is - yet it covers 1/2 of the article. It's crazy. Hawaiisunfun (talk) 22:02, 12 July 2020 (UTC) Why do you keep editing the article to be biased like what you're doing? Also, I did start a talk on it, but it leads nowhere, much like the other sections on it too - why are you being so protective of this article in particular? It's like you have something against raw veganism or something, whcih is biased. Hawaiisunfun (talk) 22:06, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Or you are biased toward it... Everything on Wikipedia should be supported by WP:RS sources (or for science content, WP:SCIRS, and medical content, WP:MEDRS). If you have such sources, use them for the content you want to add. You are being disruptive because you're not getting what you want. Work constructively with other editors on the talk page to establish consensus. You are near your limit before being reported to an administrator. Zefr (talk) 23:07, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You delete my work and then try to get your way by saying I can't undo it because it's warring. No - I'm not - the article is clearly biased by talking more about the negatives then what it's about. What I write is supported by science - yet the article is still marked as if it's not. I might have to go to the administrator too with this type of behavior unfortunately, as it's turning into a non-productive environment. I do add sources - but unfortunately what's in the article right now is not supported - the book isn't even about raw veganism - why is it that allowed, but my work - that I was trying to add isn't? I feel you're being threatening, because in the end, you're going to report me, get your way and be happy, as then the article will turn out your way - biased and it'll just not be fixed. Idk what to do if the work that people put out there that's legitimate - not just me - in the article gets deleted and the info that's not legitimate - talking about celeb fads - is allowed. Unless you let me know why you're allowing for it - then I will know that you're being biased and hostile in it. Other wikipedians don't just erase people's work and just mark or add to it, but you do. I am almost done here really. Hawaiisunfun (talk) 23:57, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
