Help me!

[edit]

I am a little confused with the appropriateness of my citation I need some examples of which citations can be improved and how?

@HaymantiSaha:, I can only guess that you are referring to the article on Samir Kumar Saha. I took a look at your additions to that article and I see no obvious citation errors. Were you informed somewhere else that your citations needed to be fixed? If so, linking to that may help us better answer your question. You might also want to read the Conflict of interest guidelines as your signature implies you may be linked to that article subject. I hope this helps. @Eggishorn: Hello, Thank you for getting back to me. Unfortunately there has been a slight confusion. I asked for help for the "Samir Saha" page and NOT "Samir Kumar Saha". The page I actually edited was "Samir Saha" and I see it is completely gone and merged with "Samir Kumar Saha". I am quite shocked indeed and I see you added and removed information, which is not bad. I would still like to keep editing and make possible changes. But I was just wondering why did you do it? Also, Dr. Samir Saha himself wants to keep the name as "Samir Saha" in Wikipedia instead of "Samir Kumar Saha". Which is why I had requested the author of the later page to delete. Is this something you can help with? Thanks.

HaymantiSaha, I merged the articles because there is no need to have two articles about the same person on the site. This is standard procedure and the subject's preferences have no part to play in it. You are welcome to edit the Samir Kumar Saha page if you first read, understand, and follow the Conflict of Interest guidelines. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 22:41, 12 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Eggishorn: Yes of course it is not allowed to have two pages of the same subject, its is very natural. Thats why a merger was proposed between the two articles in October 2017. I am not the original author of any of the two articles and thats why I had requested the author of "Samir Kumar Saha" to try deleting that page. Anyway thank you for your help.
