Can you add support for en.wb to this? Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 14:51, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please? The page options button works, but there is no user options button. enbooks_p seems to work at least in part; can the full support be added? – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 20:17, 9 January 2008 (UTC)=[reply]
I still don't get a user options button :S Not sure what's going on... – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 15:18, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I should have fixed it. Try Ctrl-F5; if it still doesn't work, give me a shout. Does the user options tab appear on non-user pages where it shouldn't be displayed? haz (talk) 16:35, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Still nope. No user tab anywhere; page tab on all pages though. Relevant code in my monobook: code removed to avoid breaking page
It may be that it just doesn't play nice with other scripts, but then I'm sure you would've had this problem with other people in the past. /me is not really sure where to start looking for the problem, and thanks you in advance for trying. – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 17:30, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You need to remove the ".debug" from the script link. The link you currently have is to the test version, which hasn't been updated. haz (talk) 19:09, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done & working! – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 19:31, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User:Haza-w/cactions.js

In your User:Haza-w/cactions.js (which I use in my own .js), there are two (easily fixed) syntax errors; the fix looks like this. I can't edit your subpage to fix it though. --Gwern (contribs) 16:23 10 January 2008 (GMT)

Great. Two less errors cluttering up my error console! --Gwern (contribs) 16:37 10 January 2008 (GMT)

Icon Championship Wrestling is simply the NEWEST "Professional" Sports Entertainment Company in the U.S.

I created a page for Integral Systems as a request from the company itself. I am an account assistant at Strategic Communications Group, a PR firm lacted in Silver Spring, MD. How can I keep the page up without violated any policies.

Hi

I know you are trying to become an admin or something, and the more cleanup work you do the quicker that will happen but please do not place articles for deletion based on blind ambition. Thanks. Iloveamerica2much (talk) 21:07, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do assume good faith. Snowolf How can I help? 21:08, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm... I don't remember asking your opinion and quite frankly don't understand why you believe you have a right to stick your nose in. I mostly assume good faith but his reasons for wanting to delete that article is flawed from every perspective. I'd like to hear his response. Iloveamerica2much (talk) 21:11, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I was just replying to your comment on your user talk page, but I'll post it here instead for reference. Thank you for your reply, and I understand that you are keen to expand Wikipedia's article base, which I am in no way against. However, articles must be long enough to provide reasonable context and also assert the significance of the article's subject as per WP:BIO. Your article did not satisfy these conditions for new articles, and I could not find significant internet sources with which I could expand the article - indeed, the first hit for the name on an internet search engine was an entry on a social networking site. The existence of similar articles is not sufficient argument for an article's existence, and in order for the article to stay you would need to expand the article and assert the significance of the player in question. Also, please don't attack other users for leaving comments on talk pages – I thought that the comment was directed towards me anyway! haz (talk) 21:17, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I thought it was aimed at me! Anyway, what about the thousands of stubs out there for small deal footballers? Doesn't that make your point invalid? Iloveamerica2much (talk) 21:23, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, according to WP:BIO, for footballers the specific notability criterion is that they have competed in a fully professional league, which Prunty clearly has. However, its primary criterion is that the article's subject has been the subject of published secondary source material which is reliable, intellectually independent, and independent of the subject. All of the online material I have found on the player seems to come from fan sites or football forums. If you were to expand the article to include sourced material from identifiable secondary sources, then I would feel more happy about the article's existence, but as it stands it is only a single line of information which can already be deduced from the Monaghan United F.C. article. haz (talk) 21:31, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Howard Griffiths

I agree that I may have strayed beyond the boundaries of what Wikipedia considers acceptable in terms of editing but I vehemently object to the fact that second-rate individuals such as Howard Griffiths are allowed to promote themselves in this way. Such rotten self-promotion shouldn't be allowed on a site such as Wikipedia. The Woolite ads which he fronts may well be part of a £10 million nationwide campaign but it's also made it on to a legitimate site www.tvs-worst-adverts.co.uk. I can see no good reason why this should not be included and will continue to edit this travesty of an article until I am blue in the face. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dentonian (talkcontribs) 17:42, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why am I not allowed to post a link for japanese rock forums, yet there is a link allowed from jpop.com for japanese pop forums?

So are forums just not allowed to be linked to on wiki?

Hey what gives?

I know that you probably don't care but I sure had fun editing the clear-channel page with my own personal opinions, hopefully you don't work for them and are just trying to keep everything neutral, as if such a state can even exist in the first place. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Personalopinion4me (talkcontribs) 21:22, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Icon championship wrestling rebut

the bottom line is that Wiki is a reference website... if people are unable to reference the site for random info (in this case Info about Icon Championship Wrestling LLC) the site will eventually be condemned by potential authors attempting to articles based on their knowledge and fact, regardless of if there is info posted else where.

our good friends at OnlineWorldofWrestling.com post material based on Icon's progression and establishment. the service OWW provides Icon and the sports entertainment community has become a true asset.

it is with that, i would like to point out that our article titled "Icon Championship Wrestling" would need to start some where... why filter it through 2nd & 3rd parties before it should be allowed consideration for Wiki. we are NOT promoting Icon via this resource, but simply informing the public of it's "ups & down" to date.

simple logic would suggest that because there are few works published on this article, should NOT suggest that any works published or (in this case) seeking publishing would be invalid or dare i say irrelevant.

Let me finish off by saying, that if it will help with the consideration of the allowing of this article, it is my understanding that icon asylum entertainment and ring kings radio are scheduling a live interview with the chief personnel officer of icon asylum entertainment and icon championship wrestling LLC Alexander Mugatu.

If Wikipedia is seeking a second source for this consideration, I will be more than happy to provide information as to when this interview will take place.

Thank you! AKINSANE —Preceding unsigned comment added by Akinsane (talkcontribs) 22:36, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly Haza, the policies you're playing watchdog to our perhaps good for some articles, but when one really thinks about it... Wikipedia is looking for a reliable source, the reliability in the source, it doesn't get any more reliable than from the source itself. I guess it all boils down to whether or not you were going to let this article be published on Wikipedia for any AND all so that it can referenced and edited as necessary by all Wikipedians, OR to not allow for the publishing and totally disregard what an "encyclopedia" really is.

By suggesting that in any way my source(icon championship wrestling itself) is unreliable, false, or misleading with the posting of this information is quite outlandish. I have spoken with E. Benji Lucero the president and CEO and Alexander Mugatu the chief personnel officer with regard to this debate we find ourselves in today, it is certainly not in their interest to argue with a REFERENCE website (personnel) that looks to pick and choose what their demographic can and cannot reference... furthermore it is certainly not in my interest to debate you or anyone on Wikipedia as to the truthfulness reliability of this article.

It is with that, I ask on behalf of myself, icon championship wrestling, icon asylum entertainment, and on behalf of any and all professional wrestling and sports entertainment fans whom access Wikipedia on a daily basis to consider this article for publishing without any additional occurrence. If this request can be accommodated your self and any other Wikipedia administrator would in fact be doing a great good for a very large fan base and clientele...

It is with that said that the final decision will be left solely in your hands...

Thanks a lot Haza! Take care!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Akinsane (talkcontribs) 23:39, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pertaining to the deletion of icon championship wrestling...

Good morning Sir or Madam! My name is Alexander Mugatu with icon asylum entertainment, over the past few weeks Mr. Salazar (AKINSANE) here has been bringing to our attention recent debates between he and yourself regarding allowing an article to be placed on the Wikipedia website rendering information of icon championship wrestling. I have gone over the transcript between the two of you on the discussion pages and though I understand what you as an "administrator" are getting at, the requirements for allowing publication of an article are unjustified and therefore unacceptable. As we see it, the information that we have authorized for publication is considered to be accurate and true, whereas information contributed via a secondary party will not be confirmed to be accurate by icon asylum entertainment with the initial publication. It is with that said, that given the unnecessary occurrences regarding the publication of this article on behalf of yourself Haza-w , icon asylum entertainment is now prohibiting Wikipedia.org from any publication or any post regarding icon championship wrestling, icon asylum entertainment, or any aspect or affiliate there of. Feel free to pass this message along to the powers that be, that in the event an article or publication is posted regarding any information based on any aspect of icon asylum entertainment, Wikipedia will be subject to a class-action lawsuit for the unauthorized publication and potential harm to the Goodwill of our company. Furthermore I would like to encourage you Haza-w to take full credit for this final result, and the potential action that may be taken against Wikipedia.

It is with that I respectfully closed by saying it is not our intention nor would it have ever been our intention to take these matters just such an extreme extent... however, we feel that the requirement for piecing information from numerous sources and random parties cannot make for accurate information and such information would be considered libel.

With that, on behalf of icon asylum entertainment and icon championship wrestling LLC. for Mr. Salazar (AKINSANE), and the icon asylum executive staff,

We thank you for your time!

Regards,

Alexander Bailey Mugatu Chief Personnel Officer Icon Asylum Entertainment Icon Championship Wrestling LLC. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Akinsane (talkcontribs) 16:44, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
