Hello, I'm Optakeover. I noticed that you recently removed some content from The Coppice Spring School  with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Optakeover(Talk) 21:11, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to The Coppice Spring School with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Coppice Spring School

[edit]

Hello. I have no doubt that what you are trying to do at the article is in good faith. However, people are jumping on you because what they see is you removing content and not explaining what you are doing. Here is an approach which I strongly recommend: (1) stop editing the article for the time being; you are only going to get blocked if you continue like this; but (2) - and this is the good bit - visit Talk:The Coppice Spring School which is the article's Talk page. Click the + sign or the New Section tab, give your new section a title, and explain what is wrong with the article and why it needs changing. Then others can discuss it with you, understand your issues with it, and try to get the article sorted out better. You can "sign" your Talk Page contributions with four tildes like this: ~~~~. Hope this helps, best wishes DBaK (talk) 22:06, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request for help

[edit]

I have had some good advice from other editors today. I tried to take referenced content off a page but other editors wouldn't let me. I have practiced in a sand box as I have learned that I need to be able to source my argument, and here is my sourced argument to support my claim that the Coppice Spring School page is innacurate and should be allowed to be heavily edited. Currently the page is damag the reputation of a completely new school.

The Coppice Spring School was not formerly Grangeside School as claimed on the Coppice Spring School page. It is on the same site but the two schools are different and should not be linked. Coppice Spring School was opened as a completely new school by the Delta Education Trust [1]. In September 2014.

Grangeside School, a BESD school run by Hampshire LEA [2] in Basingstoke closed in August 2014 [3] and as such ceased to exist. It did not become Coppice Spring School. The Delta trust runs the outstanding Quay School in Poole [4] and brings with it a wealth of experience and expertise to Coppice Spring School where students are learning through a varied curriculum in a purposeful and engaging environment.

How do I go about making the amendments to the school page whilst satisfying other editors that they are truthful and that the sourced content should be allowed to be removed? thanks,

Hi. You'll want to post this information on the article's talk page in the section you've already started to discuss the changes and your sources with other editors on that page. Also, please start signing your talk page posts by typing four tildes (~~~~) after your message. Cheers, Nick—Contact/Contribs 16:31, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
