Question about a draft

[edit]

I have a draft of my very first entry for Wikipedia in my Sandbox.

I would like to know if the entry can make it into Wikipedia provided I complete the draft to the standard (add more links to references, ...)

Thank you very much,

Helenaachillesova, hello, friend! I saw you asked this at the Teahouse already, but I thought I'd answer you here. You are correct in thinking that you need more references—you actually haven't provided any yet. References can't just be random external links, you need to create inline citations. In their most basic form, you would just surround the link with <ref> tags, like this: <ref>example.com</ref>. By doing that, it will yield the little number, like this,[1] and will automatically put the link down at the bottom of the article, as demonstrated below. I recommend you take a look at WP:REFB for a nice guide to citing sources. I also think you should take a look at MOS:HEAD to learn about sections, which help to organize your article better. I also just want to remind you to sign your posts on talk pages, like this one. You can do that simply by typing ~~~~. I hope that helps a bit. If you need some more assistance, just ask at the Teahouse like you did before or ask me, either on my talk page or right here. If you ask me here, make sure to type {{ping|EDG 543}} before the message to notify me and to sign your post (otherwise I won't be notified!). Thanks, EDG 543 (message me) 12:49, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
