A tag has been placed on Mando A Dalianis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Your contributed article, Mando A Dalianis

[edit]

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Mando A Dalianis. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Mando Dalianis. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Mando Dalianis - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Gobbleswoggler (talk) 14:51, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Mando A Dalianis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Help Me

[edit]

{{helpme}}, I wonder why this article is deleted? How can I make it to stay. The dead person Mando Dalianis has a interesting history and written several books regarding the civil war in Greece. On several places on Internet it is written about her. I would like to collect the information on about her in one place. I am sure that several persons would like to contribute to this on Wikipedia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mando_Dalianis

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mando_A_Dalianis

Mando A. Dalianis Karambazaki (Adamandia Dalianis) was born in Minor Asia 1920 in the Ottoman Empire, outside Prussa, today Bursa, in what to today is west Turkey. She fled as a two year old child during the Minor Asia catastrophe with her parents in 1922 to Thessaloniki and Greece were she grow up. She was a very diligent student both in elementary school and high school. In 1942 during German occupation of Greece, Mando wanted to study medicin and applied to school of Medicine in Athens, that was the only place in Greece that had medicine at that time. Mando was admitted to school of Medicine and started and finalized her studies in Medicine and became physician. After the second world war and during the following Greek Civil War in 1949 she was acussed for illegal left wing activities and was arrested and put in April 13 the Averroff prison in Athens. Averoff prison was women prison where women were allowed to bring the children if they were below two years old. Mando was a medical doctor assigned to take care of the womens and also the childrens health at the prison.

The article was deleted because it did not demonstrate notability, a requirement to have a Wikipedia article, which is not a matter of opinion but needs to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and press releases.
Read WP:Your first article which has good general advice. If you think you can find references to establish notability, I suggest you make a draft article in your user space at User:Hercules.dalianis/Mando Dalianis. When you have done, post a request at WP:Requests for feedback to get comments from other users before you move it back to the main encyclopedia space.
Your name indicates that you may have a Conflict of interest because of a connection with the subject. If so, read that guideline and WP:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest, and explain in your request to WP:FEED what your connection is.

Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]

Mando Dalianis, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Thank you for helping Wikipedia!  Chzz  ►  17:22, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Fil:Mando dalianis.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. roleplayer 23:28, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Sanatorium of the deported at Ikaria, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ELAS. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Help Me

[edit]

{{helpme}}, I need help to make these two articles interlanguage linked.

https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exilfångarnas_sanatorium_på_ön_Ikaria

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sanatorium_of_the_deported_at_Ikaria

When I am trying I get the error message: "The specified article could not be found on the corresponding site. The external client site did not provide page information"

I am using the language meny at the left.

I could help my self.

One should not use the whole link, "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sanatorium_of_the_deported_at_Ikaria"

but the name of the article "The_Sanatorium_of_the_deported_at_Ikaria" and of course the language choice.

/Hercules
