Welcome![edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page Persian mythology, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless that text is available under a suitable free license. It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you can clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

If you still have questions, there is the Teahouse, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page and someone will be along to answer it shortly. As you get started, you may find the pages below to be helpful.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! DanCherek (talk) 13:18, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into Iran. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 00:36, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Making articles accessible for all by size!!!!![edit]

Iran Prose size (17632 words) PLEASE READ OVER Wikipedia:Summary style

Readable prose size What to do
Wikipedia:Article size
> 15,000 words Almost certainly should be divided or trimmed.
> 9,000 words Probably should be divided or trimmed, though the scope of a topic can sometimes justify the added reading material.
> 8,000 words May need to be divided or trimmed; likelihood goes up with size.
< 6,000 words Length alone does not justify division or trimming.
< 150 words If an article or list has remained this size for over two months, consider merging it with a related article.
Alternatively, the article could be expanded; see Wikipedia:Stub.

Request reason:

Hello. I don't know why I'm blocked! Me and my brother are using the same laptop with two different windows, and because of that, we both have different Wikipedia accounts with the same IP address. This is not a "Sockpuppetry", we just have two accounts on the same system for editing. I'll delete one of them if I have to, but please just unblock one of them because there's really nothing wrong has been done.

Decline reason:

It's not possible to delete an account. Curious that you're offering to delete an account if one of them supposedly isn't yours. What you say is certainly plausible, but the main issue here is that you two were editing the same article at roughly the same time which makes it look like you are the same person. 331dot (talk) 08:55, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I totally understand how this looks, but when my brother created the first account (Cyrus-gg1), I suggested him to create another account for me so that we can edit together at the same time, a collaboration, because I can't do it all by myself, and in that way we can edit much faster. We were both editing at the same time collaboratively. And if you look at the creation date of both accounts, you'll see that the first account (Cyrus-gg1) is older than the account that I am replying to you right now, because my brother created that account first, and I created this account some time later so that we can work together. Deletion was just a suggestion, logging off, signing off, I'll do whatever it takes to unblock at least my brother's account because there is really, truly nothing wrong has been done on purpose. I don't understand if people can't work cooperatively on this website, then what's the point? We didn't really do anything wrong.

Decline reason:

This is sockpuppetry. See WP:MEAT. Yamla (talk) 11:15, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
