Hi Friendly River Otter

I want to let you know that I work for Sysco. I want to be transparent, but now sure how to indicate in my profile. Anyway, I noticed the full story wasn't being told, so I wanted to add to it. My objective is to be factual with information I include in Wikipedia.

Hi, you're responding to me in a proper forum. This is fine. Yes, I think it's good to be transparent. I guess in just a brief paragraph you might state that you work for Sysco and whatever job description you feel comfortable sharing. Now, sometimes you get a nastygram here at wikipedia, straight up. I wish it wasn't the case, but sometimes wikipedians do get nastygrams (most commonly about formatting)

Maybe Sysco after a time period could slowly begin to re-introduce drop sites just with the proper controls and spot-checking? Because I think most probably there are valid business reasons for them, the last-mile delivery issues and all that.

I contribute to a variety of topics, generally what catches my interest, as the story with Sysco did. And I try and be resposible and cover stuff right down the middle. FriendlyRiverOtter (talk) 20:18, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi, the fact that you are transparent impresses me that you're in there trying. And we both want an across-the-board factual and accurate article. But . . . I don't think I can reasonably expect you, say, to spend 45 minutes summarizing and referencing an article which is generally negative about Sysco. So, I think the right approach in this situation is to invite additional people into the tent. And that's pretty much what I've decided to do, and I'm trying to be transparent by telling you this. I'm going to invite initially invite maybe about 4 or 5 other people to help out with the Sysco article, and perhaps more later on. (And realistically, if we can get one or two additional people helping with both the research and the writing, let's count that a success.)FriendlyRiverOtter (talk) 00:00, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi, it looks like paid advocates are asked to suggest changes on Talk page

Now, with this said, I consider your edits to be positive. The information that Sysco discontinued its drop program on Sept. 6th, 2013, that information got on the article page quicker with you than without you. And for this I thank you. FriendlyRiverOtter (talk) 16:48, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi Heredenj, thanks for jumping in and helping with Sysco

If you have time to help me take it another step, we might want to add that there was a legitimate business reason for using the drop sites. (problem was that some of them were used inappropriately) This is the major issue.

And also, depending on how much you want to get into wikipedia, you might eventually want to learn footnoting methods. This is a minor issue.
