Regarding Speedy Deletion

I'm sorry, but this has been deleted as meeting one or more of the Categories for Speedy Deletion.

Generally, articles are speedily deleted when there is no assertion of significance or they fall into things to avoid or what Wikipedia is not.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject.

Sometimes articles are deleted because they contain content copyrighted elsewhere. Such content can be used as a source of information, but the content here must be completely rewritten from scratch.

Some articles contain material written in a promotional tone. These must often be written from scratch. They are vigorously deleted.

Any content that is negative in tone and unsourced or which is disparaging will also be vigorously deleted.

Any deficiencies with notability, sourcing, or things to avoid should be remedied before reposting as they can lead to repeated deletions.

Declined speedy[edit]

I've declined the speedy, but I've asked for someone at Wikipedia:WikiProject Business to help out as far as editing goes and finding sources. The big problem is that there doesn't seem to be many sources out there, so this might be something that would do better at Wiktionary than Wikipedia itself.

As a side note, I will note that some of the edits on the other articles you have done kind of sound a little promotional or non-NPOV. This is pretty normal for new editors and I did the same thing when I first started editing. For example, in your sandbox you have the phrase "In September 2013, a decision was made by 150 industry professionals to create an industry body, the Asian Sponsorship Association, a non-profit organisation whose mission is to significantly improve sponsorship practices in Asia in order to drive knowledge, business and market share of the global sponsorship industry." This comes across as something you'd write for a press release, which is meant to be promotional. You'd have to rephrase the article as a whole to be more neutral and encyclopedic. This can be somewhat hard when it comes to re-phrasing stuff for businesses, but it's a necessity. The other big thing I noted is that none of the articles really have any reliable sources that would show that they pass our notability guidelines. We have the one source on Chairman's Choice, but we need multiple sources (in most cases) to show notability. Articles must absolutely have sources to show notability. The problem is that sometimes things can seem like they'd be notable, but never gain the coverage necessary to pass WP:CORP or the applicable guidelines. Thanks for uploading File:Asian Sponsorship Association Logo.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
