Image:Davidkswanson.gif listed for deletion[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Davidkswanson.gif has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 06:57, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:Nopsi836.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Nopsi836.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Nopsi836.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. rootology (T) 03:20, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of File:Johnstown311.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Johnstown311.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. –Drilnoth (TC) 02:10, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IRYM reporting marks[edit]

Back in August 2006, you added the IRYM reporting marks to the Illinois Railway Museum article. The subject of this unreferenced material has come under considerable fire from certain parties recently, and is under discussion at Wikipedia:Content noticeboard#Reporting marks. While we both KNOW that these are IRM's reporting marks, it might be nice if you gave some input at the discusssion. WuhWuzDat 21:46, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you go back to the Shore Line Trolley Museum[edit]

If you are able to, could you take a trip to the Shore Line Trolley Museum in Conneticut? I would like to ask you to take a picture of a specific car at that museum. That car is IRT Deck Roof Hi-V car 3662. I have asked so many times for photographers to take a picture of this car, but all of them have either refused to do so or never replied back to me at all. And the reason I am looking for a picture of that car is because I would like to use it in the Deck Roof Hi-V (New York City Subway car) article. Neither Wikimedia nor Wikipedia have a picture of this car whatsoever. Therefore, I would like to ask you to take a picture of car 3662 and upload it on Wikimedia, so it can be used on the Wikipedia article. I recommend taking pictures of both the exterior and interior.

Just a heads up: it may or may not be on display, depending on where the Trolley Museum decides to hide the car. See if you can ask someone to show you the car. If not, so be it. At this point I am pretty much helpless if you cannot get a picture of the car.

Here's a picture of the car for your reference: https://www.nycsubway.org/perl/show?6891

The file File:Irrroutemap.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Orphaned map.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Rob13Talk 23:27, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
