Christian Russell[edit]

Christian Russell Is an American Stock Car Driver. In 2005 he was signed by Chip Ganassi. 2006 He signed with JR Motorsports for 3 races. Then resigned with Ganassi in 2006. In 2007 Joe Gibbs Signed Russell. Russell would win a total of 3 Races.He won Montreal in 2007 which was the first ever NASCAR appearance there. In 2008 he won the championship. 2009 was his best year ever.Russell would win 6 races and the championship.At the start of the 2013 NNS Season. He Attempted to run full time but Gibbs wanted a new driver in his car. In 2018 Russell retired at the age of 38. Russell made a promise to friend Andy Lally to drive his car. Lally drove for Russell from 2007-2015. In 2015,Russell team faced financial issues, In 2016 his team shut down.And would race for Gibbs until he retired in 2018.
