Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Neo Geo Online Collection.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Neo Geo Online Collection.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:18, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tank!Tank!Tank!, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.namcoamerica.com/game.php?gameid=23. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 20:21, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Despite your changes, it was clearly promotional. So that you can continue to work on it, I've moved it to User:Hippo99/Tank!Tank!Tank!. Feel free to improve it and to move it back to Tank!Tank!Tank! when it's cleaned up, but please don't do so until then. Nyttend (talk) 23:04, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot, Nyttend ! I will do so. Hippo99 (talk) 07:26, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of U-WARS

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on U-WARS requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Reaper Eternal (talk) 01:10, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, with the cover in decent resolution, the sole logo of Legend of Grimrock has become obsolete. Hippo99 (talk) 22:20, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not make whitespace-only changes to section headings

[edit]

Please do not make whitespace-only changes to section headings, as you did to Help:Section. It has no effect on the rendered page, while cluttering the diff to make it difficult for others to determine what other changes you might have made in the edit. Thanks. Anomie 00:20, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The purpose of my edit is rendering section titles more easily to read by adding ONE space between title and equal sign:
== Section ==

instead of

==Section==

Hippo99 (talk) 00:34, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I happen to agree with you, but some editors use that exact same argument for removing the spaces. So the best thing to do to prevent people from constantly making useless edits to add and remove the spaces is to just leave them how they are, unless you're already making substantial changes to the section headings in question (and even then, there's something to be said for maintaining consistency within the article). The same goes for most other non-rendering changes, and even some minor rendering changes. Anomie 01:08, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Land Air Sea Warfare

[edit]

Hello, thanks for working on Land Air Sea Warfare, but I'm afraid you're using far too many non-free images there. Please don't upload yet more, because it will be a lot of work cleaning them up. Per WP:NFCC, we can't have a whole big table with each element illustrated with a non-free image. Also, please read WP:GAMEGUIDE – it says: "An article about a computer game or video game should summarize the main actions the player does to win the game. But avoid lists of gameplay weapons, items, or concepts, unless these are notable in their own right (such as the BFG9000 from the Doom series). Detailed coverage of specific point values, achievements, time-limits, levels, types of enemies, character moves, character weight classes, and so on is also considered inappropriate." Isotope244 logo: Files missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media files you uploaded as:

are missing a description and/or other details on their image description pages. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the images, and they will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the images may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 10:09, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Questprobe - What does "browser" refer to?!

[edit]

Hi, I removed your references to "browser" from the listed formats for Questprobe games (added here), as it's unclear what this refers to. I assume that this may(?) mean an online version on the web playable through a browser. Obviously, this would have to have come much later, and it's unlikely (I'm guessing) that this would be an "official" release.

Could you please clarify this (with references) on a line separate from the official releases if possible. Thanks, Ubcule (talk) 20:13, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the confusion, I got the info from http://www.mobygames.com/game-group/scott-adams-questprobe-series ... I see "browser" is already removed. Hippo99 (talk) 00:06, 25 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, thanks for the explanation. Ubcule (talk) 20:54, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Time Traveller (1980) > page move

[edit]

Did you check the two links on the page as they both have Traveller rather than Traveler. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 05:38, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I did. Hippo99 (talk) 05:44, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
