Hi Hirefire, It seems to me that the subject of the article is quite notable indeed, per the guidelines laid out in Wikipedia:Notability (academics). As I'm not well-acquainted with the subject, after a cursory glance I would say that Harris at least meets criteria 1 and 7, and perhaps more. As for not using primary sources, it is only an advise to not do so IF it leads to interpretations of what is written there by the contributor of the wikipedia article. I would advise you to find another person to review your article draft than who is now involved. User Wikicology seems to have the best interests of Wikipedia in mind but I think they are a bit out of their depth here, being a fairly recent editor here on Wikipedia themselves.
