Citations[edit]

Hi Gill, thanks for coming along to the event yesterday and for writing the Lucrezia Buti article. The other outcomes from the event are detailed here. The only tiny thing to mention is that the article has no inline citations and therefore no references either. As we should be aiming for an inline citation at the end of every line (or at least at the end every paragraph) to backup the statements made in the article with high quality reliable published sources, the article will be at risk of deletion until inline citations are added. To add a citation on Wikipedia just login and click 'edit' to open the Visual Editor menus up and place the cursor at the end of the line. Then use the 'Cite' dropdown menu to paste the URL web address of the reference in to generate the citation (Or use the Manual tab to enter the title, author, publisher details etc. of the Giorgio Vasari book). Ideally we would have at least 2 references for a new article if not more with inline citations throughout. More details here. Hope that helps and thanks again! A page you started (Lucrezia Buti) has been reviewed![edit]

Thanks for creating Lucrezia Buti, Historygill!

Wikipedia editor Boleyn just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Thanks for creating this. Could you please WP:INLINECITE the source, preeferably with page numbers, so readers can easily check the source itself? Without this, others will be reluctant to edit the article as it would further complicate matters. Thanks for creating this.

Hi Gill[edit]

In case you missed the ping, I answered your question about the Claire Ridgway nomination on my talk page. Go ahead and nominate it for deletion if you feel the sources aren't sufficient, it's a pretty good learning experience about how Wikipedia works for a newcomer to watch a deletion nomination from start to finish and to see what people are looking for in terms of sourcing. best, —tim /// Carrite (talk) 17:21, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
