Yellow cards in summaries[edit]

Hi Hjk: can you please have a look at the talk page and discuss as appropriate. Whether the FA reports yellow cards as standard, and whether Wikipedia collects this information, are different things. Matilda Maniac (talk) 00:56, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My bad! The article you referenced did not show up initially on OL's French website news summary. Got too trigger happy on my end because a few of us were putting out a million premature edits back in early June. Mightytotems (talk) 18:54, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No worries Mightytotems, I had to double check myself because after originally seeing the announcement in June, it took me a while to find it again hence the lack of link on the first revert. Hjk1106 19:00, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 7[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2019–20 Bristol City W.F.C. season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ashton Gate (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 13:43, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Heath and Press signings[edit]

Hi, I explained my edits in the summary but thought I should leave a message here as well. I thought that your edits implied not playing the NWSL games led to signing with Manchester United. My understanding, though unverified by reliable sources, is that the reason they sat out the NWSL Challenge Cup was because they had the deal lined up. I think it's easy to read your edit and interpret it as the opposite — missing the cup led to the signing. Happy to discuss in the article talk page if you like though. Ytoyoda (talk) 16:33, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No worries Ytoyoda, I was just trying to provide some context for the move. In terms of my understanding, Press and Heath both released statements in June citing "uncertainties and risks created by COVID-19" with regards to sitting out of the Challenge Cup, not that it was because they were already planning to leave. Earliest I can find of a deal in the works is mid-August and there are many more instances of players playing in the Challenge Cup and then leaving (Mewis, Lavelle, Daly, Taylor, Fishlock, Corsie, Kawasumi, Nagasato, Jordan, Jenkins, Viens, O'Sullivan) likely because there was still discussions of the regular season continuing in some capacity so it fits neither the timing nor logic to seek a move beforehand. The lack of competitive game time opportunity (not just Challenge Cup but also now the new fall series schedule) is a significant reason why players have now decided to leaved the NWSL in favour of full season European schedules which is why it seemed relevant to note that both players had not seen further opportunities to play since the Challenge Cup (ESPN, Goal.com) but if it is not clear then leave it out. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  331dot (talk) 11:21, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: Can I ask what happened since I was warned on the notice board that upgraded it to a block? As stated, I was dealing with somebody who has storied history of this type of abuse, I was just trying to stand up for myself while furthering the edit discussion. This is my first time. (Hjk1106) 11:36, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I was later informed that you each had reported the other as spambots and taking that into account of the totality of the matter decided to block. 331dot (talk) 11:43, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot: Okay fair enough, I didn't realise that wasn't allowed, I just copied Flix11's actions. Considerig they are on their third block in 2 months and this is my first warning I do feel like there's differing circumstances though. (Hjk1106) 11:47, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Which is why I only blocked you for 48 hours and the other user for two weeks. You are free to make an unblock request. 331dot (talk) 11:53, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot: No it's fine, I can see why it happened now. Might be worth looking at this user though, clearly a WP:BLOCKEVASION attempt by Flix11. (Hjk1106) 14:54, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have put a sockpuppet investigation case page located on Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Flix11 to see if you and I are right in our suspicions. Ways to improve England women's national football team results (1972–1979)[edit]

Hello, Hjk1106,

Thank you for creating England women's national football team results (1972–1979).

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

This article needs more references. The references should be significant coverage of this event. See WP:SIGCOV
Lists, Team rosters, pages listing matches and results, databases, Instagram, Facebook, none of these are reliable sources. (There have been changes to the notability guide for sports - see WP:NSPORT ) You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Ways to improve 2022–23 Aston Villa W.F.C. season[edit]

Hello, Hjk1106,

Thank you for creating 2022–23 Aston Villa W.F.C. season.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

This article is missing prose, which means it fails notability for sports teams. Team season articles should consist mainly of well-sourced prose, not just statistics and lists of players. Wikipedia is not a stats directory. See WP:NSEASONS for guidance.
It may be useful to include some content about the previous season performance and outcomes.
Failing this notability guide, this article may be redirected to the main team page. For good example of a season article for a team with prose, consider the Overview in 1987–88 AEK Athens F.C. season
Other examples are LSU Tigers football and the 2022–23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team articles.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

I was just about to start this page but you beat me to it by a day :) Good work! Regards, Dutchy45 (talk) 11:22, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Hjk1106, I was just filling out the Dutch squad and it occured to me that all these teams will be playing warm-up games before the start of the tournament. That means that caps and goals will be wrong. So I've left them open for now. Dutchy45 (talk) 16:19, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Dutchy45 Yeah I thought about that but I thought it best to do an as up to date squad as possible for now and will do the final update once everything has been finalised. Hjk1106 19:04, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally I noticed you changed the dates of birth for Jill Roord (from 22 April 1997 to 21 April 1997), Vivianne Miedema (from 15 July 1996 to 15 September 1996) and Jackie Groenen (from 17 December 1994 to 16 December 1994). I have assumed this was an error as I can only find sources with the original dates and restored them. Hjk1106 (talk) 19:38, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I got the days of birth from those players biographic articles. If you have sources you might want to fix those? Dutchy45 (talk) 00:01, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Safia Middleton-Patel moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Safia Middleton-Patel, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) WP:NFOOTY is no longer a valid SNG, so GNG must be met. It needs several refs from independent, reliable, secondary sources to pass WP:GNG. It should have at least 3 of those. Please remember that routine sports coverage does not satisfy GNG, and that interviews, being primary sources, do not go to notability either. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia).
