Edits to userpage[edit]

User:Frietjes, what is the basis for this? Jytdog (talk) 22:15, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Jytdog, Clean up duplicate template arguments. you can't have more than one |client= per template. Frietjes (talk) 22:17, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh duh! I missed it that they had listed two -- you were just fixing it. Sorry for not seeing that; i thought you were adding one. My bad. Jytdog (talk) 22:21, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi Hk74. I noticed that you have disclosed that you work for Hudson and you are here on behalf of two clients. Just wanted to say "hi" and help you get oriented. I work on conflict of interest issues along with my regular editing here.

A few things...

  • If you are not aware of it, please review Wikipedia:Statement on Wikipedia from participating communications firms; Hudson is not a signatory to that statement; perhaps you wish to consider joining.
  • I left you a welcome message above which walks you through some of the basics of Wikipedia, via many links you can follow. I have generated a one page "explainer" that you might find helpful with respect to getting oriented - see User:Jytdog/How.
  • Please make sure that you have read WP:PAID and WP:COI. Am guessing you have since you have implemented the "paid" template on your userpage. The key things to take away from those policies are:
  • Please don't edit articles directly for your clients, nor create new articles directly. Instead, please offer content proposals on talk pages, and put new articles through WP:AFC, each so they can be reviewed before they go "live", and each with a disclosure.
  • Also, you are welcome here as long as you aim toward our mission, but please keep in mind that you are obligated to aim toward the mission, and to follow all the content policies. It is not OK to solely advocate for positive or promotional content for your clients, so please don't propose promotional content, try to remove important negative information, nor omit it when you propose content. This is your obligation, just as it is mine.

Happy to discuss any of that, and again, welcome! Jytdog (talk) 22:27, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
