Keep sections on articles

You should have to keep sections on article talk if what's improving in the article. I know what airports, airplanes, and destinations are. It's considered not necessary to remove sections off article talk pages on Wikipedia what users' left them to understand. Thank you, --AllenHAcNguyen (talk) 06:25, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

You had provided no meaningful issues for discussion. Your intentions are incomprehensible. HkCaGu (talk) 06:31, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
I know what Wikipedia is, and know with the article is and discussion. But if I leave a new section on article discussion, you should leave it there not reverted if it's meaningless to the article. --AllenHAcNguyen (talk) 16:15, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

India stats vandal?

Hello. By any chance, is this user who is very new, the India stats vandal?  LeoFrank  Talk 15:21, 4 July 2014 (UTC)

Does not look like so. Most of the changes are passenger statistics and sources (updated URLs) are provided. I checked just one airport and numbers are correct. The only other change is a destination (Mangalore which I haven't checked, but the IP vandal from India usually doesn't do this. Instead he randomly lengthens runway lengths and floor areas and turn US statistics to metric first without any explanation or sources. HkCaGu (talk) 17:34, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
I got the Denver airport. I'm on a semi-holiday so for the next couple of days you might need to ask another admin. Should be around more Monday. CBWeather, Talk, Seal meat for supper? 13:37, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

ProfessorJane

You know, you could inform me of these things in the future because I nearly got blocked because I had no clue that this guy was a banned editor.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 18:40, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

This editor is so slick that it entrapped me, you, and many casual admins. Sorry I wasn't aware that other activities outside my 4000+ watchlist were still going on. HkCaGu (talk) 19:04, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
And tagging IP talk pages with {{sock|ProfessorJane}} will help you get the assistance you need. HkCaGu (talk) 19:09, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
I've started an SPI case to formalize everything so we don't get entrapped again. This makes like the 5th banned editor who has me on their shitlist though.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:40, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
Also, I think you should use {{IPsock}} rather than {{sock}}.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 18:51, 23 August 2014 (UTC)

Keep sections

Please stop warning or attacking me on Wikipedia, I'm okay with that section but I didn't vandalize Wikipedia with the comment is meaningless discussion. I'm just doing something else editing here and following Wikipedia. Thanks, --Allen talk 04:23, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

You did bad things. I warned you. If you don't heed, you WILL be blocked. Wikipedia is not a counseling center or a vacation resort where you can do things for your comfort. HkCaGu (talk) 04:26, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
I don't want to be blocked, and Wikipedia is my job to edit here and not trying to being attacked. Not feeling bad. --Allen talk 04:30, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

I still know Wikipedia, can you please leave me alone while I'm trying to edit other articles with the undo tool while you are editing the airport articles. My edits are good, and you don't need to bother me. --Allen talk 04:54, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

YOU ARE IN SELF-DENIAL. By not admitting your insufficiency to understand Wikipedia, YOU ARE VANDALIZING! HkCaGu (talk) 04:58, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
I have to admit, I'm not in self-denial and vandalizing. Please don't intent to attack me, as I'm already scared about you are reversing my edits for meaningless discussion on airport articles. --Allen talk 05:08, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
If you please mind that I do good things on Wikipedia but not bad, because airport talk pages I can't see my signature behind so it's meaningless of it's being reverted by you. I replied to your message on my talk page, but I removed it for personal attacks and you're complaining to be an admin here to warn other users. --Allen talk 21:26, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

If you mind that you DO NOT warn me on Wikipedia then I'm okay to avoid personal attacks and to assume good faith of reverting my edit from this talk page for poor English. Note that I'm still editing on Wikipedia (except airport articles for poor English) or Wikimedia Commons which is I have to do something else with other articles on Wikipedia who did edited or reverted it which is it don't appear as vandalism at all. My communication on Wikipedia did improved well with producing or coherent English. --Allen talk 04:42, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

One more thing

Then you don't have to warn or attack me, when I leave a section on airport talk pages then you have to leave it there for reviewing my comment and see if it's related to the article. I have to remove your message off my talk page for personal or unnecessary attacking so don't do that again (like I said: please realize that the airport article talk page is related to the article with new sections and replies but it isn't vandalism at all). Thank you, --Allen talk 16:57, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Like he's sound like an administrator is intentional on Wikipedia but he doesn't actually have that right to warn other users who made the airport articles messed up or meaningless discussion on talk pages, so this user didn't do anything like rollbackers do? This user is fine, so he did removed your message off his talk page for devolving into personal attacks of getting rid of a block on Wikipedia so removing sections off airport article talk pages by a user is not necessary or maybe irrelevant to the article. —76.31.88.143 (talk) 22:35, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
Only an administrator can warn people? Then you are absolutely mistaken about Wikipedia, dear Comcast IP editor from Houston who think you can be anonymous. HkCaGu (talk) 00:42, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
But this user is not a vandal, he's good editing across Wikipedia actively (except editing on airport articles or maybe poor English on airport talk pages). I think you're aren't an administrator on Wikipedia, so this user does not have any mistakes or conflicts happening that sees the difference of editing or undoing revision to correct way. I guess you were editing on airport articles but not this user, actually! —76.31.88.143 (talk) 03:09, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Stop pretending to be someone else, Allen! Your English gives you away! HkCaGu (talk) 03:38, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
It wasn't Allen, it was mysterious user on Wikipedia. But his English is not poor it's good. —76.31.88.143 (talk) 04:33, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Same style of lacking English. Same style of self-denial. You passed the duck test with flying colors. HkCaGu (talk) 04:52, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

I would have to manipulate to stop removing sections off the airport article talk pages that is poor English. Which it's unnecessary to remove them by you for my poor English. As you call me I'm self-denial and I call you're a cat. --Allen talk 04:57, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Now you've admitted it—my focusing on contents makes it not a personal attack—by definition. If you can't accept that, you definitely do not belong to Wikipedia. HkCaGu (talk) 05:04, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
Eventually I don't pretend to be someone else. As a rollbacker help me on Wikipedia I don't do that or it will cause a serious problem of this policy. I do belong on Wikipedia, and doesn't meant you do respect me either. --Allen talk 03:19, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Invitation: Garuda Indonesia – issue

Hi AirWolf, I was recently caught in the discussion about an attempt to merge articles of Garuda Indonesia and Philippine Airlines. Please, if you are willing so, read my whole expose about this issue here: Garuda Indonesia-Philippine Airlines merge article, and give your opinion on it, so we can move forward from this stalemate. Thanks! PinasCentral (Talk) 12:43, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

Airport talk pages

Please, let Allen talk about something at Los Angeles International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport with current news announcement. He manipulated you to stop removing sections off talk pages with his English was good or poor, and he's gone into other articles on Wikipedia (except airports) to edit right or maybe that was not vandalism at all. —76.31.88.143 (talk) 17:11, 6 September 2014 (UTC)

I'm not forbidding anything. "News announcement" is simply prohibited at talk pages. If there's anything encyclopedic, work that into the main article. And please, Allen, stop pretending to be someone else. Stop denying. Your writing style gave you away! HkCaGu (talk) 04:46, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
I'm just staying on Wikipedia and can't pretend to be someone else as it called sockpuppetry! I said kind words to admins and rollbackers that I didn't vandalize anything, I'm helping out within the encyclopedia management!
Saying that an admin or rollbacker manipulated you to stop removing sections off talk pages like airport pages, then you'll be fine! Please note that my poor English and my grammar is good right now, and me using article talk pages (except airports) that I seen in the article I'm fine about it! No one's going to respect you if you poorly disrespecting me as negatively removing sections off talk pages such as airports! --Allen talk 22:46, 9 September 2014 (UTC)

Unnecessary reverting

Hi, but please don't revert my edit as I'm removing legal threat comment from my talk page (according to WP:THREAT), stop doing this thing. And you'll have to leave my talk page alone too! I edit and work alone on Wikipedia at my own pace and get off my patience! --Allen talk 02:51, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

It's not a threat. It's not a legal threat. It's not even a personal attack. Period. HkCaGu (talk) 02:56, 25 September 2014 (UTC)
I give up already, do you wish to keep that there? Try to leave me alone on Wikipedia and I edit/work alone at my own pace, get out of my patience, user! --Allen talk 03:02, 25 September 2014 (UTC)
You have the right to remove the entire section. (Won't hide it from history, however.) But you don't have the right to partially remove sentences to twist the meaning of another. HkCaGu (talk) 03:19, 25 September 2014 (UTC)
Okay, then you don't have to bother me again if I want to remove an entire section that was threatening me or personal attack. --Allen talk 03:28, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

Please don't edit my talk page again. When I'm on my talk page removing a sentence or threatening comment there by a user who did attack me on Wikipedia, you don't have to revert it yourself (only I do revert it on my own to see the comment below, however I remove a message or reply if any attacks coming) and please don't do that again, please! Also I want the revisions on my talk page removed for your or their involvement on my talk page deleted by admin/bureaucrat of my request. I'm completely immortal on Wikipedia and don't get involved!

Again, please remember to edit or intact only on airport projects and including your talk page if they've left you a message here but not my talk page. Thanks, --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 22:42, 8 October 2014 (UTC)

Sorry I cannot completely understand your broken English. I already told you those conversations you referred to personal attacks are not personal attacks. They are your own faults. And you have no rights to tell me what to edit and what not to edit. Your talk page is where people talk to you, and you respond. You can delete after reading, but have no rights to tell people not to talk to you. But again, you have shown no language competence in using or helping Wikipedia. You only create trouble. In my opinion you should go away from Wikipedia while you can, voluntarily. HkCaGu (talk) 23:19, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
I stay at editing on Wikipedia and always helping them to build an encyclopedia, my English is native not broken. On my talk page, I read them from users who left me then I wish to keep it for good words or delete it for involving personal attacks. So, I didn't make any trouble or get involved on Wikipedia. For just a reminder, you may edit only on airport projects on Wikipedia, but I edit on another stuff. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 00:40, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

Stop editing my edits. You don't know everything. Stop acting like you're ******* amazing. Pisses all of us off. STOP RE-EDITING US. Get a life.

You were wrong. Simple. And if you can't take that you don't belong to Wikipedia. Period. HkCaGu (talk) 07:39, 28 September 2014 (UTC)

I was not wrong... Maybe you should look at the facts. Kinda sad you spend your whole day monitoring wikipedia. What a life you must have. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jacktho (talkcontribs) 14:14, 28 September 2014 (UTC)

You were wrong. There was no US Airways or Delta for the time period of the table. In fact as of today, those two airlines are still not flying to LAX. What part of "did not exist in June 2014" do you not understand? HkCaGu (talk) 15:54, 28 September 2014 (UTC)

Warning against anonymous editors for vandalism

I'm just a little bit confused, why do you warn anonymous editors who "vandals" from the highest level, not from the lowest level? I know some anons change the article with good purpose sometimes. And mentioning that the anon editor is the one who vandals some articles doesn't show any proof that they vandal it, without sock puppet; do you trace their IP's for that also? PinasCentral (talk) 09:16, 30 September 2014 (UTC)

Those are long term IP-hopping vandals who have been blocked before. Their IPs are in recognizable ranges and their behavior and vandalism targets obvious. Therefore I use the "only" (4im) level. If there's anything further, I report to WP:AIV and admins who understand their nature block them immediately. HkCaGu (talk) 14:25, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for answering the question. Well, I learned something new from you about vandalism. Also, this is very helpful. PinasCentral (talk) 07:23, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Can you take a look at this page? A user insist on adding the resumption date for Southwest's seasonal route to SJU as the project guidelines specifically states that such dates are not to be added. They state that this route operated last summer. 71.12.206.168 (talk) 21:56, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Can you explain to the user that seasonal flights DO NOT need the resumption date. I have directed him to WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT (bullet #8) twice already. I have had it with him. He continues to revert. 71.12.206.168 (talk) 17:05, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Remove and unfollow me from your watchlist

Hi, can you remove me from your watchlist because you will have to leave me alone now and trying to edit on other articles (except for airports), you work on that project there on WP alone. And unfollow me on Wikipedia, you don't have to follow me back on Wikipedia that what I've done. Thanks and best regards, :) --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 22:36, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

As a problematic editor, you have absolutely no right to ask that I leave you alone. Asking me to limit my edits to a certain category is already a grave misbehavior. ZIP codes in the City of Los Angeles

So ... what is a good source for determining what ZIP codes are within the city boundaries? How could I verify that the current list is correct? —Stepheng3 (talk) 20:57, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Maps that have both city boundaries and ZIP code boundaries? Thomas Guides are still out there. Might need a bit of research, but not really original. HkCaGu (talk) 21:07, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
I don't own any Thomas Guides, but surely they get their ZIP code boundaries (directly or indirectly) from USPS? I believe some source should be cited, else how can a naive user verify the content?
I found zipmap.net, which shows both ZIP code boundaries and city boundaries (albeit fuzzily) together. Unfortunately, P.O. boxes are not shown, which greatly increases the amount of research involved compiling a complete list.—Stepheng3 (talk) 02:30, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
Beside PO box ZIP codes, there are institutional ZIP codes too. UCLA (90095) is able to display at zipmap.net, but Fuller Seminary in Pasadena is not. When I looked at all those "suspicious" Pasadena ZIPs, I found "what they're for" by going to USPS, inputting a ZIP and asking for city name. An insitution ZIP will return with an "unacceptable" city name, such as Fuller, a bank (CC payment ZIP) or otherwise. HkCaGu (talk) 05:44, 8 December 2014 (UTC)

Sydney Airport

Hi HkCaGu. Can you please stop removing Vancouver as a seasonal route of Qantas. You said that you removed this because that you believe that the route is not recurring. However, 'recurring' is not necessarily a requirement for something to be 'seasonal'. The Oxford Dictionary's definition of seasonal is "Relating to or characteristic of a particular season of the year". Thanks. kh2155 (talk) 21:29, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

Couple of things

Hi HkCaGu,

Wanted to let you know of a couple of things. First, I have opened a formal WP:SPI investigation into Mansand30000; you can comment there if you wish. In the future, open an SPI case yourself for obvious or well-evidenced cases of sockpuppetry.

Secondly, and more importantly; as I was looking through your edit history to see if you created the SPI case yourself, I noticed you have a pattern of clear WP:AGF and WP:BITE violations. You are required to be WP:CIVIL with other editors; edit summaries such as YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!! for a very mild edit, how hard is it to verify the ONLY service going away? for an IP editor's second edit ever (and first in several months) and many other instances of flippant use of the word "vandal" and indiscriminate sockpuppet tagging without opening an SPI case all constitute a longstanding pattern of WP:BITING and assuming bad faith, particularly against IP editors. Assuming good faith is fundamental to the integrity of Wikipedia; see WP:Don't call a spade a spade and WP:Avoid the word "vandal". Please read those pages, and the earlier linked guidelines and policies, very carefully and adjust your behavior accordingly. Consider this a warning. Deadbeef 07:48, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

With my inability to dedicate anything more than short bursts of time to Wikipedia, there are new things that I have yet to bother to learn. Starting new articles and starting and reviving SPI are among them. The type of vandalism I too often encounter is airport/airline destination vandalism and they are mostly IPs of previous IPs, not registered against registered like Mansand. Sorry but you may not understand the nature of airport vandalism, but if you'll click on those sockmaster's "category" and see those IP, you should be able to get a picture. These vandals have gone on for years. If you'll just see the "category" you may understand why I give them a sock tag and a 4IM warning (many casual observers don't understand this) and if activity continues further (usually not), I proceed to AIV and get them stopped. The "XXX VANDAL" I give to edit summaries remind me and other editors if certain articles have become repeated targets so I can get them protected. Most of those IPs aren't fresh IPs, hence I may appear not AGF. HkCaGu (talk) 08:26, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

Thru-hub LKO-DEL-HYD

There are 100s of domestic flights in India which goes through DEL. All are mentioned as destination as long as it is same flight number and same aircraft. If this is discussed any where particularly for domestic flights, kindly provide link for the same. I would delete all those destinations mentioned in several airports of India. Thanks in advance. --Amdmustafa (talk) 18:05, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

Per WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT. Through-hubs are only listed if they are exceptional. For example, Air India flights from overseas continuing on a domestic leg using aircraft unusual (widebody) for domestic operations would be meaningfully direct. AA continues many flight numbers across Dallas and Southwest continuations (which don't stick for more than a few weeks/months) are also summarily excluded. HkCaGu (talk) 18:54, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
So according to WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT, apart from those domestic leg of International flights by Air India, all domestic destinations which are routed through Delhi or Mumbai (in case of Jet Airways and Air India) or Chennai and Hyderabad (in case of Spice Jet) cannot be mentioned. Did I get it right?--Amdmustafa (talk) 19:33, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
Pretty much so. Unless there is an unusual type of aircraft. HkCaGu (talk) 19:37, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
Then there are lot of destinations to be cleaned up from several airport pages.--Amdmustafa (talk) 19:39, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
