Hayley
I have looked at the Dysgraphia page. It is a very interesting topic. I see that much of the chat on the talk page is about the frustrations and questions of people who experience dysgraphia. There doesn't seem to be much discussion about how to improve the page from a Wiki perspective. What are your specific plans to improve it? This will determine whether it is a good idea for you to do some medium editing by adding references, or a rewrite. If you choose this article for a rewrite, then you need to have an idea of what information is missing that you would want to cover.

Sounds like a reasonable plan. I think you can sign up for that article on our course page and go ahead. There are very few citations in that article for the little bit of information that is there. I think it is a good choice if you think there are adequate external references to develop the topic.

Hayley
I see that you have added a plan of sorts to the talk page for the dysgraphia article. Two things. First, I think it is wiki etiquette to add to the bottom of the Talk page, not the top. Second, I think you should include a more detailed outline based on what you are working up in your sandbox. You are proposing a very radical revision to the article and I think it is fair to give interested editors warning about your plans and the opportunity to make comments. I would post the outline at least, but consider adding any rationale you have the order changes etc that you are planning to make to the article. You don't have to post the text until the time frame works for submitting to Did you Know. This looks good so far. I have put extensive comments on your developing article in the talk page of your sandbox

Hi Hayley,

Just a friendly reminder to check your citation style! If you are using Chicago or APA for your reference list, please check that your format is correct. The QuickGuides (http://www.library.ualberta.ca/augustana/citations/) are a great place to start. For inline citations, please review the tips provided by Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citing_sources#Inline_citations). One more note (after reading the comments above), you need to be careful when replacing work. This is a community effort so you need to pay respect to those who have worked on the page before you and have done a reasonable job. Please make sure that you keep previous work where reasonable to do so. Don't reinvent the wheel; just add three more!

Happy Halloween! Gorakshep (talk) 15:00, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Great work. This article is really shaping up and you are getting some helpful comments and suggestions. I've made a few changes and have one citation I might add. Thanks for going back and fixing up those specific sections. I have no experience, but I think this might make GA status.
