[edit]

Hello, Holstebro. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Your rumour-based contributions and/or general misunderstanding of how an Encyclopaedia works

[edit]

Wikipedia is not a rumour-based site. It doesn't matter how many teammates have blabbered on about how e.g. Bulatović will or will not leave – as long as it hasn't been officially confirmed by the club(s), it has NO place on Wikipedia. A lot of things can go wrong in between a teammate's interview and a signed contract which means third-person statements don't constitute as official confirmations. Go to a discussion forum such as Handball123 if you feel some desperate need to address rumours, but keep them off a fact-based Encyclopaedia, please. Cordially, Cotillards (talk) 08:56, 25 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm fairly certain shamelessly continuing to add incorrect/unofficial information is in violation of Wikipedia's rules. Please read the above where I think I explain pretty well why adding rumours to an Encyclopaedia isn't viable. Cotillards (talk) 17:36, 28 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"I have proof you don't."

[edit]

And that's the crux of the matter. You fail to cite sources that would prove your edits correct. Please cite to reliable sources. All content must be cited from reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and have a reputation for fact checking.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 21:10, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dlohcierekim (talk · contribs) Just see the history pages i provided links. I edit this page for years and all information are true. That user use to delete my posts about Radicevic and Mehemedovic which were confirmed officially. See the history of ZRK Buducnost you will see my edits years back, everytime official information, it's a club from my country and i know better about it then some guy from Denmark or wherever he is. The information was confirmed in the media and players themselves and i posted links when i undid everything.

Nationality is irrelevant. How do you know? Innate clairvoyance? Telepathy? Tarot cards? Once again, cite sources. State where you got the information. Did you not read my last message??. Thanks, -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 21:22, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dlohcierekim (talk · contribs) Here are the links. The players confirm it themselves and this is one of the partners of the club. https://www.cdm.me/sport/rukomet/reprezentativka-crne-gore-odlazi-iz-buducnosti/ and https://www.cdm.me/sport/rukomet/podrska-ekipi/ Of course nationality matters here since i know the language, i see and hear the news, the club ANNOUNCED it on television also. You are really unfair, since i'm a member that always edits ZRK Buducnost page with official information and contribute to this page all the time. My previous post were true and that member kept deleting it, i reported him before but no one did anything.

The fact that a news media reported on the rumour still doesn't mean it's been officially confirmed by the club. Cotillards (talk) 21:31, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cotillards (talk · contribs) Everything is confirmed in the media and BY THE CLUB in the media during an interview.

You can block me all you want but after everything proves to be true i will file an official complaint about both of the users. Since all my previous posts were true and i've been editing this page for years.

the google translation is very clear. What is the content that it supported in the article?-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 21:38, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I will happily unblock you if you agree to stop edit warring and continue this discussion at the ANI thread before editing further. Present your case their.. Also please sign your posts.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 21:42, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dlohcierekim (talk · contribs) The content is about players who confirm they are leaving the club. That information was also announced by the club on the national television. Did you bother to check my edits on ZRK Buducnost in the past several years? Every single information was true. I always edit this page, i have first hand information since i previously worked for the club, now i posted the media links that are the official media partners of the club. Holstebro (talk) 22:47, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dlohcierekim (talk · contribs) The information Holstebro provided are true and it’s been confirmed by the club after the match against CPH. The players also confirmed it themselves, they are negotiating with several clubs. It’s all over the news in Montenegro.MNEfan111 (talk) 22:51January 2019 (UTC).

(edit conflict)Yeah I got that part. I will unblock you right now if you agree to discuss this at the ANI thread instead of edit warring.

@MNEfan111: Great! Please join the discussion at ANI. This is a content dispute. Edit warring instead of dicussing will get you blocked. Even if you are right.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 21:58, 29 January 2019 (UTC).[reply]

@Cotillards: It's starting to look like you need to stop reverting them.----- Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:01, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Dlohcierekim: Based on what? Montenegrin media reporting on a rumour? Listen, at this point, this debate is honestly so exhausting to me that I'm about two breaths away from throwing in the towel. It's always been my impression that the content added to Wikipedia should be rooted in solid facts? The information added by Holstebro (talk · contribs) is not. This is what an official confirmation of a transfer to Budućnost looks like. Using articles speculating about transfers is about as reliable as if I was to go edit Christian Eriksen into Real Madrid's article using only Danish articles gushing about a potential transfer as my reference. Additionally, it looks like MNEfan111 (talk · contribs) is a user created solely to back Holstebro's claims up. Fairly obvious example of sock puppetry and doesn't exactly scream credibility of the user in question either but hey, as I said, so be it. Let him/her use Wikipedia as a rumour mill then. Cotillards (talk) 22:29, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
He claims to have more. Of course discussion is what we need.22:36, 29 January 2019 (UTC)-- Dlohcierekim (talk)

Dlohcierekim (talk · contribs) I will listen to your advice and continue there. But at this point i don't even care about editing since you blocked a regular member that always contributes to the page ZRK Buducnost. And it's been like that for years. My previous post that this member kept deleting was true and confirmed and he did the same thing over and over again until he finally stoped. Thank you and good night. Holstebro (talk) 23:56, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please discuss at the ANI thread. Thanks. Unblocking.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 23:14, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry

Holstebro (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

OMG, what proof do you have for this. This is a disgrace. Shame on you, i added ZRK buducnost page for year, with accurate information, confirmed transfers and all. And for what? For you to do this. Pff, nothing is worth getting upset for, especially not for being blocked on this website that has far bigger problems with false information than some tranfer in a handball club. Shame on you again, but soon, someone else will edit the page with confirmed transfer and then you will see how wrong you were. Have a nice life and shame on you.

Decline reason:

You mean, what proof do we have beyond the behavioural and technical evidence documented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Holstebro? Huon (talk) 15:28, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Huon OMG, so it must be me? No one else could've done it? A friend, a family member a stranger? Pff, i wanted to do something i can always make lots of profiles from local coffee shops or other people wifi or a nearby country. But i don't need to do that. You can ublock me or not at this moment i don't care since you support a troll who deleted verified tranfers and keeps deleting them. Way to go Wiki!! Shame on you.

Hey Holstebro

[edit]

Hi, friend! I sent a message to the administrator who banned you. It was really harsh, since you were only banned for 36 hours by an admin who said you can even be unblocked if the others would agree. You were an excellent handball user with years on Wikipedia! Christina (talk) 15:55, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Christina Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm trying to explain to these people but they are not listening and now are accusing me of sockpuppetry or whatever that is. It means a lot to have your support and i hope they can finally see the truth. Thatnks again and have a great day.

I am sure if they unblock you, you will read the Wikipedia policy! Am I right, will you autoeducate yourself in this? Sockpuppetry means cloning, you are allowed to have more accounts but for different domains. You are not allow to have 2 handball users in order to manipulate the editing outcome. Regards, Christina Christina (talk) 16:05, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Christina Of course i will. You apparently know of me and you saw how much i contribute to the ZRK Buducnost page, that is basically the only page i edit on Wiki. And i posted so many confirmed information, with facts. As you saw in the case of Mehemedovic and Radicevic that that memeber repeatedly deleted. Thank you again, i hope the administrators will listen to you and not think that you're also "one of my profiles". Finally someone to support me in this mess. Holstebro (talk) 16:16, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Admin Bbb23 said you should not deny cloning (socking). Did MNEfan111 post from the same house like you? Same IP, right? ... Christina (talk) 16:33, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure they unblock you. I requested that. You must accept it was a mistake from you, and then to read and understand the Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia is not a battleground. Christina (talk) 16:34, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Christina I'm denying because it wasn't me, it was my friend from his mobile phone who made the account because i was blocked and couldn't post anymore and he wanted to confirm my story for which i provided links several times. And it's not the same IP. He didn't edit the page because i told him not to i just needed someone from Montenegro to confirm my story that was published and announced everywhere. You saw that my information for Mehmedovic and Radicevic were true, so why would i post something that wasn't official? Holstebro (talk) 16:53, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

So it was not from your Wi-Fi? Because you should appeal somehow then. Christina (talk) 17:30, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Christina No, he used his mobile Internet to write. I don't know how to appeal, i just recently learned how to answer here and on ANI, i'm not very Wiki-experienced unless it's editing a page. And at this point i don't even care, i'm really disappointed by the administrators, the lack of their understanding, injustice and their treatment. Holstebro (talk) 18:08, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Holstebro, the one edit made by MNEfan111 was not made using a mobile, and you and your "friend" used the exact same IP.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:35, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bbb23 Yes it was, you can say what you want, i was there and watching. Be ironic as much as you want this just adds to your shameful behaviour. I don't know what is the point of this, you have a member Christina that explained how much i contributed to the ONLY page i edit. I reported a user who was deleting my posts and of course you did nothing about that. Thank you very much. If i wanted to do something and have a double account i could've and i still can make a thousands of profiles from various IP's accros the city and country, i just need to go to a caffee or a friends house. But i didn;t do that. So your story is ridiculous. Block me or unblock me i don't care, i only know that you are one sided and your behaviour is shameful. So many articles on wiki are ridiculous and ful of false information and you attacked me for editing the page of MY TEAM that i edited always, for years, with facts that were proven. Thank you again.

Maybe he used your WI-FI but you don't know, if you are honest. What about apologising and educating yourself in Wikipedia? Maybe you get another chance. You should also apologise to the Bbb23, he is in a position and it's not a good idea to understimate his work and authority. Even if you don't agree, this is the attitude. Christina (talk) 20:33, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I just had enough of this. I won't apologize for writing correct information and suffering the abuse from a wiki member helped by the administrators. I wanted to contribute to this the page i edited i got attacked so i don't care anymore. Thank you Christina but as i can see even you couldn't help in this situation and you don't know me. They can have it. After 6 years on Wiki i thought i have some kind of a credit, but no.

Even assuming the "it was my friend who did this because I was blocked and couldn't do it myself" story were true (and while I don't have access to the technical data, the second problem with that story is that MNEfan111's edit was to this very page, which you obviously could still edit yourself), that would still be meatpuppetry. Calling in your real-life friend to support you is not the way to resolve a dispute on Wikipedia. Huon (talk) 21:20, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Huon I called him because he knows the language and he can confirm my story. And i provided links with information that confirm my story and that wasn't enough, so that was the reason i asked him to help me. As you saw he didn't edit anything on ZRK Buducnost page because i told him not to. You can also see that i'm a member here from 2013. and 95% of my edits were on ZRK Buducnost page and i never had any problems before regarding that page. I don't understand the sudden attacks and blocking from editing a page of my favorite team. See the history and see how much i edited this page with information that were accurate an official. Last time i posted something was also in the transfer part and that problematic member kept deleting that even if the information was true. I said it a million times and the member Christina can confirm that the info i posted was true and official.

No. I could edit this page and say, "it's not all over Montenegrin media". That wouldn't refute your assertions any more than someone posting "it is all over Montenegrin media" confirms it. What we need isn't just true information but information that's verifiable from reputable published sources. You never added such sources while making the disputed edits to the article, and the sources you provided above have themselves been disputed (and at a glance Cotillards makes a valid point - those are not official statements or reports on such statements, but merely on the players' comments on personal intent while, as your own sources acknowledge, no decision has been made). It's entirely possible that the information will turn out to be true - but right now it seems too early to add that information to Wikipedia. It's also possible that I somehow misread the situation and the sources - but in that case, Wikipedia has dedicated dispute resolution processes that can be used to get things sorted out. "Asking a friend to back you up" is not among those processes. Huon (talk) 07:31, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Huon But dear Huon i provided several links to back my story, but you chose to ignore it. I also reported that USER but nothing happened (maybe i didn't do it right, since i don't really know much, except for editing). Here are the links https://www.vijesti.me/sport/rukomet/jovanka-radicevic-i-majda-mehmedovic-se-vracaju-u-buducnost), https://www.cdm.me/sport/rukomet/reprezentativka-crne-gore-odlazi-iz-buducnosti/ and https://www.cdm.me/sport/rukomet/podrska-ekipi/). All sources are credible, since they are the partners of the club. In these interviews as well as on TV the players confirmed that they are leaving. What's so hard to understand?

Apparently, what's so hard to understand is how adding content without citing reliable sources is not OK, how dispute resolution on Wikipedia works, how it doesn't work (and whether I agree with you on the validity of the sources you presented here after the block or not is not the issue), and why what you and your friend did was not OK. Since you don't seem to see any problems with your past conduct, we have to assume that you'd act again in the same way in the future. As an aside, please remember to sign your talk page messages by adding four tildes (~~~~) at the end; others already commented on that before, too.
Anyway, if you maintain that Bbb23's reading of the technical evidence is wrong, you can appeal this block directly to the Arbitration Committe. See WP:CheckUser#CheckUser blocks and WP:Arbitration Committee#Contacting the Committee for details. Huon (talk) 12:16, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Huon I understood that what i did was wrong, but i acted that way because i was blocked even though i provided links. I never had problems before on this site and in the 95% of the time edited only this page. With credible sources. Will you unblock me or not? Holstebro (talk) 13:54, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
