Please do not create pages that attack, threaten, or disparage their subject. Attack pages and files are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who create or add such material may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. TheLongTone (talk) 13:38, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jimmy Boyd[edit]

I have again deleted Jimmy Boyd (gangster) because TheLongTone (talk · contribs) and I are agreed that it is potentially libellous. Even before you open the page, the word "gangster" in the title is very problematical unless you can cite criminal convictions. If you think you can produce a properly referenced article, post it on your own website and raise the matter at DRV. If you need it, I can email you a copy of your text - read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:02, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Your revert with the explanation that "This is a main character in the Boardwalk Empire Series, so don't redirect" is not appropriate enough to keep an article in the state that it's in. First, as far as I can tell, all the plot content is just copy-and-pasted from the Boardwalk Empire wikia, and the plot synopsis is way, way too long (especially season 2, my god). I suggest reading up on some Wikipedia guidelines, such as WP:PLOT. Other problems include: the casting section is unsourced, and needs citations to support those facts, and the reception section is empty. So, unless you plan on cutting the plot by about 3/4, and significantly expand the article with real-world information, it should just be redirected back, because articles on Wikipedia don't simply exist to reiterate a plot summary for fictional subjects; they must contain roughly equal amount of real-world information. Drovethrughosts (talk) 13:30, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I'll try to dub it down alot, I just haven't had the time since I posted it. But I should be able to double it down by the end of this week. Ellis.Donnie (talk) 8:37, 21 April 2015
The plot isn't the only issue. If the article isn't going to contain anymore real-world information, then it doesn't meet the notability guidelines for a standalone article for a fictional character. Please read WP:PLOT which I already linked above. If the only real-world piece of information is going to be the fact that the character is based upon a real-life figure, well, that is already noted in the list of characters article, thus, it's not expanding upon information found is other articles. Hope you understand. Thanks. Drovethrughosts (talk) 14:06, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Empire Bay (city) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your contributed article, Arnold Rothstein's Organization[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Arnold Rothstein's Organization. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Arnold Rothstein. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Arnold Rothstein – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. --Animalparty-- (talk) 18:41, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You reverted my redirect on Vito Scaletta. Do you mind explaining your rationale for this? The article is completely unsourced and notability is not established. Draft: Campbell brothers (criminal duo) AFC[edit]

Since you have experience with criminal biographies, I was wondering if you could possibly review by AFC submission Draft:Campbell brothers (criminal duo). This is a biography of two criminal figures once prominent in Boston. I think the article establishes notability and is in good shape. Just want another set of eyes to review it before it gets published as an article.

Since I have never written about someone whose notability is solely derived from criminal activity, I am unsure about how WP:NPOV is balanced in such articles. Therefore, I am hoping for an experienced set of eyes to judge whether their are any neutrality issues that need to be addressed.

I am particularly weary of getting the NPOV balance wrong due to the fact that one of the two brothers has a daughter who is a notable political figure (Andrea Campbell, the current attorney general of Massachusetts).

This would be greatly appreciated by me. SecretName101 (talk) 18:37, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
