Constructions of Kyushu University[edit]

Thanks for your articles related to Kyushu University. However, I changed the title of the article Constructions of Kyushu University to "Buildings of Kyushu University" because it is not only better English ("Constructions" is very ambiguous) but because it is consistent with other articles on Wikipedia. See for instance, Buildings of Nuffield College, Oxford. (If it had more on the history of the campus, it would be better off titled "Campus of Kyushu University" like with Campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.) The only article that uses "Constructions of" is the Todai article, which has been tagged for its English problems. I will change it back to "Buildings" unless you strongly disagree. Michitaro (talk) 22:32, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh Thanks you, I understand your proposal, but have another purpose. I have a plan to add another construction, such as garden, pond, monument, experiment facility wind mill etc., to the article. I think there are come under the construction, not come under building. Consequently I hope to keep the tile as Constructions of Kyushu University, Per your concurrence on this approach, we'll proceed on this. --Hot cake syrup (talk) 12:20, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the response, but I would then recommend "Campus of..." Again, "constructions" has little sense in English. Michitaro (talk) 12:41, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you too, please listen to the advice of others. We must coordinate tile with Construction of University of Tokyo.--Hot cake syrup (talk) 13:22, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

April 2012[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Campus of Kyushu University a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Constructions of Kyushu University. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DAJF (talkcontribs) 13:38, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Who is it? Note your name, That's not polite. --Hot cake syrup (talk) 13:43, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, insolent fellow --Hot cake syrup (talk) 13:47, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Campus of Kyushu University, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. --DAJF (talk) 02:30, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Note about canvassing[edit]

Hello. It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on others' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote—in order to influence Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Campus of Kyushu University. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. You might wish to redress any accusations of impropriety by notifying all of the editors who voted in the earlier AfD. --DAJF (talk) 05:04, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I asked wise opinion in my note for native trusty friends, it is not a case for concern. Actually I cheese off your stalking behavior. Ah… --Hot cake syrup (talk) 05:17, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have no complaints about your proposal. I mistook the spelling of words. Correct spelling is Shirakoya Okuma. Thanks you. --Hot cake syrup (talk) 14:12, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shirakoya Okuma, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Minato ward (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Requesting clarification regarding edits to Shirakoya Okuma article[edit]

Hi. Your recent edit here to the Shirakoya Okuma article raises a number of issues which I hope you can try to clarify.

  • Firstly, your edit remove a couple of maintenance tags which were requesting citations. As you did not add any citations, I have restored the tags concerned. Please be more careful in future about removing tags without addressing the issues they describe.
  • Secondly, you changed the name of the temple in the photo caption from "Josho Temple" back to "Jyōshō-in". If you think it is more desirable to include the macrons, then that is fair enough, but is there any reason for intentionally using the non-standard "Jyō" Romanization which is not prescribed by any of the three main systems used in Japan? (It should be "Jō" in the Hepburn romanization system normally used in Wikipedia articles.
  • Also concerning the Josho Temple link, writing it as "{{Ill|ja|Josho Temple|常照院}}" linked to the corresponding article on Japanese Wikipedia, which is useful in the absence of an article on the English Wikipedia. You reverted it to "{{Nihongo|Jyōshō-in|常照院|Josho Temple}}", but this is not how the Nihongo template is used. It should correctly be entered as "{{Nihongo|English|Kanji|Kana}}".

If you can explain your reasoning for reverting to these non-standard formats, I'd be interested to hear. Thanks. --DAJF (talk) 06:37, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Tome Yoshida has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article only has one citation and the person does not seem notable for anything significant. She is just a regular nurse.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
