AIV Reporting[edit]

Hi, I wanted to give you a couple of suggestions about editing Wikipedia, related to your recent AIV report. First, please add new comments to the bottom of a talk page. Don't worry, the user will still see what you have to say. Second, please follow the standard reporting procedure on WP:AIV, which is to use the {{IPVandal}} and {{Vandal}} template. These help the bots removing the templates from the page. Let me know if you have further questions. alphachimp 00:39, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work[edit]

Nice work on Chickasaw Wars and Chickasaw Campaign of 1736! I've been slowly poking at making a page on the Yamasee War, which currently is only briefly mentioned on the Yamasee page. These two Chickasaw pages are inspiring! Pfly 08:09, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wow thanks a lot, I look forward to seeing your work on the Yamasees! Hughespj 10:28, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Valley[edit]

Hey, I appreciate your work on the Vaucluse article, is it at all possible you can get more information or pictures on other articles in the Midland Valley area? I have created articles for Warrenville, and Langley. I have also edited some information with regards to Graniteville. I understand that information for those places are very hard to find, that's why I'm kind of hoping they incorporate. Anyways, any information would be most useful, thanks. Thanks, there is so much to do and so little time, but hopefully some day something can be done. Hughespj 05:17, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File:HorseCreekValley-SC Boles 1871.png missing description details[edit]

I have put forth a good faith effort to include relevant excerpts of images that are clearly allowable. But I have had it with Wikipedia bots deleting images obviously well over 100 years old, or clearly marked as works of the US government, and clearly described as such. Hopefully somebody someday will bother to look at something for more than eight microseconds before deleting another's conscientious work, or can take the time to tell me specifically what to do to fix the problem. Don't give me this 'easily avoidable' bull either - I have scoured the recommended practices for hours without being able to figure out what these bots are looking for. After a few more years of this, Wikipedia will be tweetable - good luck with that! Hughespj (talk) 15:59, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Graniteville Ducks[edit]

feel like doing a write up or page for us?

Those are very cool, it might be best to do an article about the Graniteville Canal, with a paragraph about the ducks, all linked to the existing Graniteville, SC page. I don't think I can help though because I have a heck of a time submitting images nowadays. Some a$$bot always wants to delete them because I didn't check some invisible box somewhere - including photos I took myself and plainly said so in the description. Any ideas? Hello! Just wanted to explain the note above - I'm transferring public domain files you uploaded to Wikimedia Commons so that other Wikis can also use them! In the process I'm proposing for deletion the one above (since other Wikis could just use the larger/higher quality one you uploaded). Thanks for uploading these useful files! Happy editing! Ajpolino (talk) 01:36, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Me again, any chance you remember where you got this image? Thanks! Ajpolino (talk) 02:49, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
