I noticed that you created this article, which was very short and consisted of a request to see a different article. In such cases, Wikipedia normally uses redirects. To write a redirect, put something like

#REDIRECT Traffic Circle, Long Beach, California

as the only thing in the edit box (I have done this one for you), and the software will automatically register it as a different title for the same page. --ais523 12:48, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Signal Hill, California

[edit]

Under the Business section of the Signal Hill, California you added

"Many small, family-owned businesses prosper along the stretch of Pacific Coast Highway that runs through Signal Hill due to the large volume (over 60,000 vehicles per day) of commuter traffic that flows through the city coming from the suburbs of Orange County in the south, through the Long Beach Traffic Circle, to jobs in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County."

I just added a citation tag need at the end of that addition (e.g. [citation needed]). The volume of traffic should be fairly easy to verify. The origination and destination data might be a little harder to come by. The bit at the beginning on small, family owned businesses, however, reads like orginal research and/or boosterism, which is not allowed in the Wikipedia. It would be appreciated if you could provide a citation for this from a reputable source (Long Beach Business Journal, Long Beach Press-Telegram, economic data from either the city of Signal Hill or Long Beach, etc.). That would be greatly appreciated. My impression, from driving that section of PCH, as well as the recent announcement of the closing of Al Greewood's Bedspread Kingdom and information from someone who used to have a shop in that section, is that most small businesses along PCH just survive, and don't prosper. Large businesses in that area (such as the Chevrolet dealership) don't survive at all. BlankVerse 09:43, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't provide any information to back up that sentence, so I deleted it. When you readded the info, you toned down the boosterism some, but you still haven't provided any citations for the amount of traffic, the origin and destination of the traffic, or it's importance to the city of Signal Hill. Furthermore, the Traffic Circle is not in Signal Hill, so it merits no mention in the Signal HIll article. Pacific Coast Highway had already been mentioned in the article. You need to provide some citations for your data and a reason for emphasizing the traffic on Pacific Coast Highway. In my opinion, as the sentence currently stands, it gives a very false impression of the importance of Pacific Coast Highway and especially the traffic on Pacific Coast Highway, to the city of Signal Hill. My personal opinion is that it should be deleted. BlankVerse 22:32, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
