A brief review of Chairman Mao

[edit]

Mao Zedong was one of the most influential people of the 20th century. He created a brand of Socialism in China that had a lot of fascist tendencies. Military rule and suppression of the opposition,or "Counter Revolutionaries" as Mao deemed them, where just a few of the policies that made Maoism a blend of Socialist and Fascist politics. An article about the Cultural revolution discuses the relationship between Stalin and Mao. Mao was concerned with Khrushchev's ability to change public opinion in The Soviet Union.[1]

The Soviet Union and China were natural allies due to their shared political ideology and geographical proximity to one another. Mao believed that the De-Stalinisation was made possible in the Soviet Union because Stalin had not done enough to change the culture. (Donivan Hummel 18:09, 30 April 2017 (UTC))
