A tag has been placed on For fallen skies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Reply to your contention

[edit]

Hey, I'd like to reply to your post here instead of there, just to be sure that it doesn't get deleted.

First: thanks for trying to help Wikipedia! You're right, it is tough to get things right on your first try; I didn't, either. Don't be discouraged! Nobody will hold it against you if these articles do get deleted.

Second: it's not really your version of the articles that's the problem. The thing is, we need the subjects of our articles to be notable. The issue here is that, on Wikipedia, our information must be verifiable, which means that we need to be able to back what we're saying with independent, reliable sources. Subjects that aren't notable just won't have the significant coverage in reliable sources that we need to be able to write anything about them, and without anything that we can verifiably write, we can't have an article. The thing is that the information on Wikipedia is only as good as our sources that back it up.

This means that, unfortunately, there's no real way to improve the articles to a state where they can be kept. I know that you created them with the best of intentions, and I appreciate that, but it's just not gonna work out, and I don't think you want to spend even more time than you have working on an article that just can't be kept, since its subject isn't notable.

But again, don't get discouraged! Just because a subject isn't notable now, doesn't mean it won't be notable in the future! It might just be a case of us needing to wait until they're notable in their own right; once they are, we can come back and write an article about them. And again, don't take it personally! People get their articles deleted all the time; it's no big deal! If you can get the hang of it, Wikipedia can be a pretty fun place. If you need any more help, or if you want more explanation, feel free to ask me either here or on my talk page, and I'll be happy to answer. You can also ask questions at the Teahouse, which is a place designed for new users to get friendly answers to any questions they have. Thanks again! Writ Keeper 15:26, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on other people again, as you did at User talk:RHaworth, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. That is not the way to react to your page getting deleted. I know that you're disappointed that your pages were deleted, but they were deleted fairly, and regardless, personal attacks like that are never acceptable. Blocked

You have been blocked from editing for violating Wikipedia policy. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest this block by replying here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}}. You may also email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list instead, or submit a request for unblock to the Unblock Ticket Request System.

In almost five years of being an Administrator, I have never once blocked a user. Unfortunately, I had no choice here. In 24 hours, if you want to be civil and contribute to Wikipedia in a constructive manner, the site would be happy to have you. -- Mike (Kicking222) 15:46, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
