I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Miles Price, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Rick, Disagreement for article deletion =o)[edit]

I gave more information for you to glance over on the talk page of the article. I disagree for the article deletion and I feel as though the content is valid. Read what I wrote on the discussion page for more details. Overall: There is neutrality, no vanity and I am actually Miles Price's family member, I wrote up the article for his birthday and added in as much as I possibly could, other people have been adding little bits and pieces but more will be coming. He is also not interested in writing on Wikipedia (he feels as though it's far too boring and most of his subjects are taken, "yeah right" in my opinion, he just needs to see more of the Wikipedia editing light) and he will likely insist on using this account if he ever knows of my usage of his site's name =oP (He may express interest in this after he sees this article and learns the possibilities of adding to Wikipedia). Annyways...

I love having the chance to talk with an authoritative Wikipedian =o), I'm new to Wikipedia and am beginning to add content on the other articles, I'm writing up stuff for the Web 2.0 article as we speak and then placing it in the edit sections. Let me know of any tips for I have tried to already read every page of the manuals. Thank you again and thank you for the chance to not have my content deleted, I am NO spammer, only showing my worth for Wikipedia and love/reverence for my family member. His content is actually very authoritative, it only needs to be fixed up / massaged (a TON of articles and the site's only around 2 months old, Geez!) -- He also consults for a bunch of companies and is building things up quickly (so I wished to help him by referencing an article). The article will only bring more and more value in short time =o)

Let me know of any questions/issues!

Hi. The most basic policies (from which nearly all others derive) are Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Attribution. You might also want to read Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, Wikipedia:Autobiography, and Wikipedia:Notability (people). Summed up, these basically say (among other things) "don't write about yourself, or a close personal acquaintance, or any organization you're highly involved in". The reasons are mostly explained in Wikipedia:Autobiography, but boil down to the fact that it is extraordinarily difficult to write about any of these topics in a neutral way using only information that is published by reliable (verifiable) sources. The article is now nominated for deletion, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Miles Price and I suspect will almost certainly be deleted. I sincerely hope this doesn't keep you from becoming a regular contributor. Here are some pages that you might find helpful (from a standard welcome message, which this most certainly is not):
You can sign your name on talk pages like this one (but not articles) using four tildes (like this ~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} after the question on your talk page (this page). Again, I'm sorry the article you started will probably be deleted. I suspect it doesn't feel like it, but you and other contributions you may make are indeed welcome. Please don't hesitate to ask me anything. -- Rick Block (talk) 15:29, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on NEXT Financial Group, Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.  Fallschirmjäger    18:27, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
