October 2015[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at The Alchemist (novel), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please stop adding this (your?) name as translator in the infobox of this article without also supplying a citation of a reliable source that supports this information. I have been unable to locate any such source. In addition, with dozens of translations of this book, there have been dozens of translators; you cannot claim to be the only one. I will continue to revert your changes (from this point forward as vandalism) until and unless you provide a source for the change. General Ization Talk 19:25, 2 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, please explain this, which shows that the 1993 edition that introduced it to English readers was a translation by Alan R. Clarke, with a prologue translated by Clifford E. Landers. And then there is this edition, which includes an introduction translated by Margaret Jull Costa (whose name appeared in the field before you came along, with the notation "Introduction"). But there is nothing of this sort found at Google (search terms: "Priscilla Bechtinger" translator "The Alchemist") for Priscilla Bechtinger. General Ization Talk 19:53, 2 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
