Thanks
[edit]Thanks for adding images to article Table tennis. Article needed images badly. You may look for images in german version of wikipedia to find more images which is already a featured article, see talk page of table tennis. You can directly link if its in wikipedia commons, even i dont have clear idea. Thanks for the effort. Lara bran 06:09, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- Your helpful images on Table tennis were removed. I disputed the remove and reverted. See the talk page. Joshua Crowgey 11:30, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Table tennis image as featured picture
[edit]Several of us would love to see your table tennis photo become a featured picture, which could eventually put it on Wikipedia's front page. Any chance you could reshoot it per the comments there (or interest in doing so)? --Peter 00:16, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- It is a good picture, Ian. J Crow 06:22, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Your Appearance?
[edit]Dear IanLamberson, are you some sort or re-enactor? Nice mustache? J Crow 07:13, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Happy the Hobo
[edit]You tagged it for speedy delete, quite correctly - it was obvious vandalism nonsense, so I killed it. The Hobo isn't Happy any more ... - DavidWBrooks 18:35, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion advisements
[edit]Hi. Pat on the back for protecting us from vandalism. :D (Seriously. I do that job sometimes, and I know how NEVER ENDING it is.) Anyway, I'm just dropping by to say that I've been running into your CSDs this afternoon (good tagging), and I'd like to ask you to consider copying the user advisement tags provided on the templates onto the creators' pages. This can save some confusion down the road when an author comes back looking for a missing article and either runs to the help desk looking to find out what happened to it or (as was the case with one of the articles) recreates it, not understanding what they had done wrong in the first place. It's not required, but it's helpful. Happy editing. :) --Moonriddengirl 18:50, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. :) As I said, it's not required (except in copyright violation cases, where administrators are not supposed to delete unless the author has been notified), but it can be helpful. Anyway, keep up the good work. :D --Moonriddengirl 19:00, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Heads up
[edit][1] Replied :-) ScarianTalk 21:31, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, good enough. Feel free to do it if you want. I think most article's about TV show's have an episode list with synopses so it looks like it couldn't have been a policy motivated removal. Take care. ScarianTalk 22:08, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Invitation to Meetup/Seattle6, a focus group
[edit]Hello. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington (Seattle campus), and my group is reaching out to Wikipedians in the Puget Sound area. We're hosting a focus group designed to gather information on what Wikipedians would like to know about each other when interacting on Wikipedia. Our end goal is to create an embedded application that helps people quickly know more about others' history and activity on Wikipedia, and we feel our design will be much more useful if it's based on insights of users like you.
I'm hoping that the chance to help out local researchers, to engage in lively face-to-face discussion with other Seattle Wikipedians, and to contribute to Wikipedia in a new way will entice you to join us. The session lasts 2 hours and snacks are provided - one is April 8 (Wednesday) starting at 6 pm and the other is April 18 (Saturday) starting at 10 am. (Sessions will be held on UW Seattle campus - directions will be sent after registration.) Your contribution will be greatly appreciated!
Willing and able to help us out? RSVP here. Want to know more? Visit our user talk page . Please help us contact other local Wikipedians, too! Commprac01 (talk) 18:38, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
