A barnstar for you![edit]

Blocked[edit]

I found that virtually all the content you have contributed to Wikipedia was copy-and-pasted verbatim from various sources. These contributions were all in violation of copyright. While I appreciate your eagerness in contributing here, such contributions are actually highly damaging to our project and cannot be accepted.

I have therefore blocked your account and deleted several of the articles you wrote. You can be unblocked if and when:

  1. You promise to stop copying material from elsewhere,
  2. To help us in the necessary cleanup, you go through your remaining contributions and draw up a complete and truthful list of all (not yet deleted) articles to which you have made any substantial contributions that were also copied and need to be removed.

If you do this, you will be welcome to return and continue editing.

Request reason:

I will not make any copyright violation

Decline reason:

That's well and fine, but there's a second condition: you go through your remaining contributions and draw up a complete and truthful list of all (not yet deleted) articles to which you have made any substantial contributions that were also copied and need to be removed. You don't need to be able to edit to go through your contribution; you can still edit this page and put the required list right here. Request unblock again when you've prepared the list. --jpgordon::==( o ) 20:04, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

UTRS Account Request[edit]

I confirm that I have requested an account on the UTRS tool.

Request reason:

I will not make any copyright violation in future. And my copied contribution is in Comilla Modern High School "The JSC examination consists of nine subjects totaling 900 marks, with each subject given 100 marks and the SSC examination consists of eleven subjects totaling 1,100 marks, with each subject given 100 marks, including practical tests for science subjects. A minimum of 33 marks are required to pass each subject. Subjects will depend on which major program a student has elected to study. These major programs are Sciences; Arts and Humanities; and Business Studies" which is copied from Dhaka Residential Model College. I will not make such a mistake. Decline reason:

An understanding of Wikipedia copyright policy is incredibly important what you are a content contributor and am not convinced that you have a strong enough grasp on it to be unblocked at this time. In essence I believe that by unblocking you it puts Wikipedia in potential harm's way with regard to future copyright issues. I would suggest that you take a couple of weeks to really review this page and its related guideline and help pages, then post a new unblock request with a summary of what you have learned. I would also suggest you consider finding a mentor should you be unblocked. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:54, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ibrahim, I have restored the declined unblock request you had removed from here. You may not remove these while your block is still active. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 23:49, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ibrahim, where did you copy that text from? And are you sure that is the only copyright-violating text that has not yet been corrected? Hersfold non-admin(t/a/c) 17:56, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's not the only problem, even just on that page; you also copied the "Today" section from Comilla Zilla School. It has some changes, particularly to the numbers, but some of the sentences are still verbatim copies from the original without attribution. Writ Keeper 14:52, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!
