The account you created has been blocked indefinitely because its username is a blatant violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane; threatens, attacks or impersonates another person; or suggests that your intention is not to contribute to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information). We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames, and trolling or other disruptive behavior is not tolerated. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Don't Like Ulysses eh? I figured a literature reference would be a nice touch because that is what i intended to edit most. This is probably why i have always been hesitant to create a profile. Do I create another profile now, since Joyce is obscene? I may be mistaken too, but someone had already taken If You See Kay when i attempted to use that. So, it is acceptable for others to use Joycean terms?}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Please don't insult anyone's intelligence with an excuse like that. If you have a legitimate request, it will be considered. If not, then please don't ask. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:26, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not insulting anyone's intelligence. I am quite peeved that my username has been called obscene/trolling. I have made snippets of edits before this with my IP. I assume you can see these. I am not trolling, but a legitimate user. That was my legitimate request, but you apparently are not taking me seriously. Way to welcome people to this site. Now, if you do intend to take this response seriously, is this going to be a major problem that i have to make another account or can we work this misunderstanding out? I would like an answer this time and not just a dismissive response.

Do I really have to spell this out? Anyone who reads the name aloud knows what it says. There is no reference to "If You See Kay" to anything remotely affiliated with Joyce. It is, however, a Britney Spears song among others. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:44, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's just awful. The britney spears thing, however she stole it from Joyce. It is extremely affiliated with Joyce as it is included in his magnum opus, Ullyses.

If you see kay Tell him he may See you in tea Tell him from me. (U 616)

It is a poem from Ullyses. So, I have to change it then? I realize what it means, it's just the first thing that came to mind.

  • OK, a Google search of the poem does in fact bear you out. I'd never heard it before; nevertheless, the username can't be allowed to stay. I'll chalk this up to a misunderstanding and unblock you so that you can create a new account. PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:59, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Google: The new God. Very well, i shall change it to something that isn't viewed in a bad light. You should read Ullyses. Excellent read in my opinion. Cheers.
