User talk:Igor B.
Hello, Igor. I see that you inserted a personal photo into the article, that's great. It should have a formal GFDL "tag" on its image description page (that you get to by clicking on the image in the article), and it should be personally inserted by you (not me), so could you do that, please? Don't remove anything of what you already said on the page, just add {{GFDL}} or {{GFDL-self}}, whichever is more appropriate. {{GFDL}} expands to

Thank you very much for editing from a name account. I assume you will be using this account only now, and that the Igor Bogdanoff account may as well stay permanently blocked. I'm a little concerned that the autoblocker might get you if you should happen to come in from the same IP as one of the permablocked accounts; please let me know if you should have any problems editing now or in the future, from lingering autoblocks or whatever. If you can't get me, try for some computer-savvy admin such as Kim Bruning or NicholasTurnbull. (A randomly chosen admin may not even have heard of the autoblocker; I'm a little unsure about the details of it myself.)
Don't ever try to edit while blocked (though I hope you won't be in that situation again)! Doing that sets off the autoblocker and lengthens the block. I'm going to put a prominent warning and explanation about it to everybody, at the top of Talk:Bogdanov Affair, when I get the time. Please take a look at it when it appears, it'll have a useful link to the block log. Thanks again for registering this account. Best wishes, Bishonen | talk 16:35, 1 October 2005 (UTC).

Temporary block
[edit]Igor, you have reverted again the article, removing significant content and restoring an unsubstansciated and doubtful [1] [2] part which I have specifically ask you to back up. So you and other people here start taking me a little bit seriously, I have blocked you for 24 hours. When you come back, I expect you to address this sort of questions and raise problems in a constructive manner. Thank you. Rama 16:03, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
Claims of the Theses in layman's terms
[edit]Hi Igor. I'm starting to do a preliminary draft of sweeping (and neutral) edits to the Bogdanov Affair article. Could you do me a favor and provide me with a very brief (2 or 3 paragraphs) explanation in layman's terms of your and your brother's theses? I looked around a bit, but wasn't able to find anything suitable. Normally I wouldn't ask, but since you have such an extensive background in bringing these subjects to everyday people (and since you obviously have the best idea of what the papers say) I thought you'd be the best person to provide it.
Note that what I'm looking for is just a succinct explanation of the papers to provide context to the article about the whole controversy, not any discussion of the controversy itself. You can put it on my Talk page: User_talk:Bubamara. Thanks in advance for your help. Bubamara 16:39, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
Three-revert rule violation, Bogdanov Affair
[edit]Please do not keep undoing other people's edits without discussing them first. This is considered impolite and unproductive. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. Thank you. --NicholasTurnbull | (talk) (e-mail) (cabal) 20:36, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
3RR block, Bogdanov Affair
[edit]Dear Igor: You have been temporarily blocked for 24 hours, as you violated the three-revert rule on Bogdanov Affair. Regrettably, due to the revert war currently in progress over that page, I have had to adopt stricter enforcement of 3RR in an effort to bring it to a close. Please, do feel free to come back after the block has expires, but please, in the future, discuss the matter properly rather than reverting. If you need any help or assistance editing on Wikipedia, feel free to contact me. --NicholasTurnbull | (talk) (e-mail) (cabal) 00:43, 13 October 2005 (UTC)
A brief note about Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Autobiography
[edit]Dear Igor: Following your recent editing to Bogdanov Affair, and its subsequent reversion, I thought that I should explain to you the reason why the changes that you have made to the article have been reverted. You may find our policy document on article neutrality, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, of interest to you for information on how articles must prevent a fair and balanced view of subjects; your removal of statements critical of the Bogdanov papers, for example, would thus slant the article somewhat in the favour of your point of view, which would clearly not be acceptable. In addition, you may find it of interest to read our guidelines on writing articles relating to oneself, Wikipedia:Autobiography, since it may give you some pointers on how to approach subjects which you are directly involved in from a more unbiased perspective when writing Wikipedia articles. I do hope this gives you some further information on how to make edits that are accepted by community consensus, and I would like to thank you for your continued work in improving this article. If you have any questions or concerns relating to Wikipedia editing, or would like administrative intervention on a matter relating to the article, please do contact me or another administrator. Best regards, --NicholasTurnbull | (talk) (e-mail) (cabal) 12:08, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
3RR violation block for Bogdanov Affair
[edit]Dear Igor: I regret that, once again, I have had to block you from editing for making 4 reverts within 24 hours on Bogdanov Affair, as per the zero-tolerance policy currently in force on that article. Since I have blocked other editors of that article for similar violations, it would be somewhat unjust of me not to do the same in the case of your violations. I would like to ask you, however, to please refrain from making more than three reverts within 24 hours in the future. Best regards, --NicholasTurnbull | (talk) (e-mail) (cabal) 16:11, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
Ban on editors involved in Bogdanov Affair
[edit]All user accounts used by participants in the external controversy (involving the Bogdanov Affari) are banned from Wikipedia pending resolution of this matter. The criteria for determining external involvement shall be a review of their edit history, it being presumed that if the vast majority of their edits were to the Bogdanov Affair and related pages such as this arbitration that they are not Wikipedia editors but persons involved in the external dispute. This group includes: YBM (talk · contribs), XAL (talk · contribs), ProfesseurYIN (talk · contribs), Igor B. (talk · contribs), CatherineV (talk · contribs), 82.123.187.53 (talk · contribs). Laurence67 (talk · contribs), EE Guy (talk · contribs), 82.123.46.149 (talk · contribs), 82.123.57.232 (talk · contribs), Luis A. (talk · contribs) and all others who meet the criteria. Rbj (talk · contribs), a regular Wikipedia editor, and Ze miguel (talk · contribs), a new editor who has edited other areas, are banned from editing Bogdanov Affair, pending resolution of this matter.
A less restrictive injunction Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration/Regarding_The_Bogdanov_Affair/Proposed_decision#Ban_on_editing_Bogdanov_Affair is under consideration and may replace the total bans. Fred Bauder 19:07, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:PHOTO IGOR GRICHKA.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:PHOTO IGOR GRICHKA.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
