Cradle of Filth[edit]
Stop removing Cradle of Filth from the list of black metal bands. They certainly are rooted in black metal and thus belong on this list. It's not a list of trve black metal bands only - otherwise many other bands would have to be removed as well. Spearhead 16:50, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Your example is bullshit. A counter example is Metallica who started out as a speed/thrash band - now there nowhere near thrash but still listed as a prime example of thrash. CoF were BM from the start. In fact in many sources they're are listed as a black metal band. Eg. BNR Spearhead 21:29, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

Hi. I saw your extensive comments in the AfD list for various Metal genre articles. I don't know anything about Metal, but it got me thinking that you might be interested in joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Music genres and setting up a sub-project for Metal. I don't really know anything about Wikiprojects either, but there are resources listed there. It would be good to try to get all this sorted out. It sounds complicated.
