Eleanor Marie Robertson

Hi, ImGz. I believe that change of Nora Roberts to Elenor Marie Roberts is correct, since Nora Roberts is not the only pseudonym of which that author uses (although if the most known), she has other three pseudonyms, for that reason I transferred the page to its real name, that is of public dominion. (I know that my English isn't very good). E-romance 22:34, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Romance Author Naming

I just wanted to let you know that I am going through E-romance's contribution list from the last few days and listing all the articles I see that have been renamed at Wikipedia:Requested Moves. They have a five-day waiting period and you are supposed to ask for feedback on the talk page, so I feel comfortable doing that now rather than waiting a week. I will be on vacation for the next 2 weeks, though, so I won't be able to check back on the articles and make sure that it was done okay. If you have time, could you take a glance at them next weekend and make sure we don't ruin any redirects or anything? Thanks Karanacs 03:05, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Imette St. Guillen

From MurderWatcher1

I hope that I'm doing this entry correctly. Forgive me but this is rather long. To answer your response, Yes, I have been contributing greatly to Imette St. Guillen's page. I became personally involved in her murder case and I joined with the group of protestors rallying against "The Falls" bar last year. I remember spending a number of evenings putting posters up around the college to motivate the students of John Jay to come down and join us. Only one came, in addition to the one person we already had. I later learned from the Rally organizer (and this may be true or false) that the head of security at John Jay College had personal ties with the Dorrian Family.

Now I never knew Imette St. Guillen, sad to say, but I do have some connections to her as, I used to live as a child across the street from what is now a John Jay College Annex building; the second connection comes as Imette lived in a studio apartment just a few blocks from a church that I was attending. Interestingly, none of the people in the church knew her or anything of her story. There may be a third connection that I have to Imette but that I will keep to myself.

I have to say that I'm still considering your edits. I was in the process of cleaning up the webpage myself and creating links for it (even though I didn't personally create the webpage), last Friday, June 8th, when I saw that user 'Garzo' had left a post during my editing. It was then that I saw your edits coming onscreen, and they were very disconcerting. I have to confess that over the weekend, I was very concerned that the whole story might be changed, all to worship that 'non-truth' bastion, "Political Correctness". I also feared that the Dorrian Family, whom I and the Rally Organizer have dealt with, might somehow be responsible for the edits as well. The Rally Organizer was using Craigslist.Org to advertise his rallys, and he would get a number of e-mails threatening him. He forwarded a number of these to me. I also received a threat for using Craigslist to post a rally against The Falls and only Dorrian and his people would be responsible for that threatening.

I take this issue of Imette St. Guillen's murder and Nightlife legislation pretty seriously, and this webpage is the only outlet that I can see on the Internet to honor Imette. Everything that I've learned of this young lady shows that she was a loving person and this is extremely rare in our society.

Of course, there is the webpage created by her dodgeball friends (JusticeForImette.com) but this webpage hasn't been updated since last March of 2006. Her family, whom I had personally met in Boston last year and had contributed my own money towards the creation of a scholarship in Imette's name at Boston Latin, are still grieving. As I'm a stranger in their lives, I can't do too much to help them other than this - the editing of Imette's page. I'm following her murder case and hoping and praying that she and her family will receive justice. I trust that you'll understand more of Imette's case now as, I see that you're also a student, at Drexel University.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by MurderWatcher1 (talkcontribs).

Further on your edits

From MurderWatcher1

TO: ImGz: What you're doing in editing is interesting! I hope that the St. Guillen's, in their current grief, will one day look at our efforts to honor their daughter. For myself, I might go up to Boston soon to check out the 'Garden of Hope' and photograph same.

QUESTION: I noticed that you changed the reference for '17' hours (the duration of time that Imette went missing) to '16 1/2' hours. Why? Thursday, 6/14 - I see where! You can forget this question!

ALSO: I had put a reference to February 25 but someone on that page deleted it. That user/editor didn't think that Imette's death was 'noteworthy'. I disagree so would you please check that Wikipedia page reference and somehow put her back on that page? I feel she is noteworthy because of the scholarships created in her name, the various discussions of Nightlife Legislation going on in City Council and in local and state governments, further scrutiny of bouncers and, of course, Imette's Law or laws. I look forward to your feedback and thank you.--MurderWatcher1 15:06, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Citations Needed for Imette's Page

As far as the Scholarship Fund meeting held in Boston last year, I'm wondering if there is a way to create a link to a PDF document. I took the program booklet handed out at the "A Night for Imette" fundraiser and made a PDF for myself and friends. Will that do? Also, I'm certain that I had links to the other mentions citing "Citations Needed". Please confirm, thank you. --MurderWatcher1 21:03, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

My Use of Tags on Imette's, Jennifer's, Chanel's, Ramona's pages - Explanation

Hello. In regards to the 'tags', the "Under Construction tag" was, if I remember, originally put into Chanel Petro-Nixon's page by someone else, and maybe the Jennifer Moore page as well. I put the other tags in only yesterday. The reason that I used the tags was that I was doing extensive edits on the pages, starting with Jennifer Moore's page, which I had created some months ago. I was re-researching her murder and yesterday I had noticed a tag had been put on her page by someone else who considered deleting the article, which I didn't want. As you may know, Moore's murder was and is related to Imette St. Guillen's. The other women: Ramona Moore and Chanel Petro-Nixon also qualify as 2006 victims, and as students. I've been paying attention to their cases now for more than a year. I became concerned so I started editing the Jennifer Moore page.

Yesterday (7/26/07), I was going through a number of old newspapers which I had PDF'd, and it was at the end of my editing, around 6:30-6:45 p.m., that I put the tags into the four pages, certainly not days or weeks ago. I was concerned that someone would interfere with my thinking/editing and I also knew that I would find more information on the women's murders. You can see the results of that thinking in the almost-completely revamped page for Jennifer Moore. I guess I should have put the tags in before my edits, but as you know, I'm still new at this, and I was getting new information to input so the "brainstorming, "writing", "editing surge" just took over.

By the way, you might be interested in one user who inputted a change to Chanel Petro-Nixon's page, and that was Errol Louis. I had contacted him, requesting any information that he could provide and I also let him know about Chanel's reference in Wikipedia. He is a staff writer for the New York Post and also a cousin of Chanel so, when he became aware of Wikipedia, he then made two corrections and I was pleased with that.

For me, this is the only way I know of to honor these women who lost their lives tragically, and if I can help prevent any more deaths due to New York nightlife, then I hope these entries inform others who may be curious about these women and care to read about them.--MurderWatcher1 20:59, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: Welcome

Thanks for the welcome, I am a new to wikipedia and I don't know to much about it all. I am health student learning more about aesthetics at the moment hence the research on lipodissolve. I was just wondering what you took as unreferenced on that page. With all the new links going up, pretty much everything stated can be found, plus way more on at least one of those pages. Also when you added a reference it was to a commercial website...wondering why you chose this? Also the link that I reverted back to isn't a spammed page and simply provides links to reliable sources (i.e. FDA, U.S. News and World Report, Wall Street Journal, etc.) therefore those are all referenced as well. Please help me understand all this as I am definitely new to wiki and don't want to be editing incorrectly. Rnsuzieq 22:08, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Lipodissolve

Thanks so much for the insight. I totally understand your edits. My only question would be why when adding a reference title you put below it the link to a commercial website as a legit reference for the info which you questioned?? I am putting together a better rewrite of the info right now with sources to site to update all of that. -Rnsuzieq 23:10, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

'Weasel Words'

Okay, Candice! ;) Your comments:

"(parts of this are so POV it's funny.. trying to clean it up: taking out excessive use of weasal words, shortening long headers, planning on removing practically full length articles, etc.)"

I am learning from you but please indicate what is the 'so POV' here and what is 'funny' because I'm being pretty serious here. I'm trying to do my best, and I'm trying to be objective. BTW, I tried to upload a photograph that I had taken with my 10MP D-SLR; a photograph of John Jay College, and I didn't see any return comment from Wikipedia. I also want to add a section or sub-section in the AFTERMATH part about Imette's mother's grief and how they spent the day in Florida before her murder. Please let me know!--MurderWatcher1 16:37, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

P.S. How do I get images of Jennifer Moore, Ramona Moore, and Chanel Petro-Nixon into those webpages? Wikipedia seems a little arcane at times in learning and understanding policy and, like you, I'm pretty busy in real life too!--MurderWatcher1 16:41, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Nightlife Legislation

I had left a comment for that as, I had second thoughts. I see your point about quoting full articles because of "murky laws" as you put it, however in some cases I found the articles weren't online anymore and I wanted readers of Imette's page to fully understand the impact of her death.--MurderWatcher1 19:20, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Unknown User made changes to Imette St. Guillen Page

Candice: I only have brief time today but I noticed some changes by an unknown user who changed "Venezuelan" to "Puerto Rican", which I don't think is appropriate in Imette's case. I'm going to undo them but please re-check the page anyway. There was news about Imette's trial being post-poned in today's New York Post and I haven't had time today to get to that so I'll be inputting that information later.--MurderWatcher1 16:24, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

UPDATE: I left a comment to Gareth Hughes User: Garzo, mentioning you and this user:38.117.139.174. Thought you should know! I have my suspicions on who this person is.--MurderWatcher1 17:05, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

UPDATE 2: This user did it again! I undid what this person did but please check and block this user permanently, thank you.--MurderWatcher1 20:44, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

UPDATE 3: I see that you made a comment to that unknown user so I added my own remarks. Again, this is because of the upcoming trial for Littlejohn and The Falls' involvement in this case. Can't be anything else. Again, I suggest they be permanently blocked.--MurderWatcher1 21:47, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Reference Request

Dear ImGz,

Thanks so much for writing. I just happened upon the article about Jaclyn Reding and decided to take a hand to it because it was like a stub. I was unaware of any controversy about her maiden name; or that it wasn't Reding when I first began. I'll see if I can reconstruct my search.

I looked for Jaclyn Reding on the web, of course. I then looked for her name on Ancestry.com and found her brothers obituary: John Charles Adamowicz - Arizona Republic, The - (Feb/27/2004).

"John Charles Adamowicz of Chandler, AZ, died Wednesday, February 25, 2004 in Chandler at the age of 43. He was born in Euclid, Ohio to Fred F. and Patricia J. (Mikolsky) Adamowicz and has resided in Arizona the past 10 years. He is survived by his parents, Fred and Patricia of Sun Lakes, AZ; 2 brothers: Michael Adamowicz of Chandler, Mark Adamowicz (Julie) of Las Vegas, NV; 1 sister, Jaclyn Reding (Steve) of Rutland, MA; grandmother. Published in the Arizona Republic on 2/26/2004."

I searched US Search for the Redings in Massachusetts, http://www.ussearch.com/consumer/index.jsp and found both Steven Reding and Jaclyn Reding.

I found her mother's obituary: Patricia "Pat" Adamowicz - News-Herald, The - (Jun/9/2005).

"Funeral Mass for Patricia "Pat" Adamowicz, 68, of Sun Lakes, Ariz., a former area resident, will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Steven's Catholic Church, 24827 S. Dobson Road, Sun Lakes, with a Rosary at 11 a.m.

She was preceded in death by her son, John; and father, Charles. Arrangements were handled by Bueler Mortuary in Chandler, Ariz. Phone: (480) 963-6351."

I found Jaclyn's mother in the Social Security Death Index. I looked up her father in US Search, living in Sun Lakes, Arizona. I found her maternal grandmother's obituary: Olga M. Mikolsky - News-Herald, The - (May/17/2007).

"Services for Olga M. Mikolsky, 92, of Euclid and Kirtland, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville. Services for Olga M. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township. Information and directions online at www.spear-mulqueeny.com."

I searched the web some more. I checked genealogy forums for Cuyahoga County, Ohio; I read genealogy queries posted by Jackie Reding (nee Adamowicz). I went to Rootsweb message boards, GenForum, et cetera, et cetera.

I read the info. regarding her at RomanceWiki http://www.romancewiki.com/Jaclyn_Reding and on several other websites.

I researched hell out of the subject, ImGz, before I took hand to that stub. I can attest to the fact that she's an Adamowicz.

FredR 19:21, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Dear ImGz,
Thanks for writing again. I just cited several reliable sources, including complete newspaper obituaries. You can read those and realize it's Jaclyn Reding and her husband, Steve, of Massachusetts. You can write to those papers and get copies of their original publications. It is unlikely that you can just "google" the woman's first and maiden name and get a bunch of hits. She wasn't even known before she began publishing novels; not to say that she's "well known" now. You must dig deeper, ImmortalGoddess. There are numerous genealogy websites that have Jackie Reding (nee Adamowicz) posting queries about her Polish ancestry. Look them up. I'm not going to put all these things in links in that blasted article; you do it. Instead of daring to give a lecture, pitch in and do something constructive. Why deny the truth? If you've read the material, then you know full well the woman's an Adamowicz.

Thanks for the below. I was aware of one of these but didn't know if they would be appropriate on Wikipedia. Now I know.--MurderWatcher1 21:11, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

The SmackBot Tag

ImGz: I'm trying to understand your comment: "(nope, needs to be referenced since all of the things I've come across don't mention him, adding back fact tag)" I thought the SmackBot tag referred to the actual date and year of the protests against The Falls. Also, as for the mention of 'Jeff Ragsdale' well, he was the organizer of the protests, along with myself and a few others, and if you check the history of the page, an unknown user put that information in. I suspect that it was Jeff Ragsdale who inputted that so I left the comment in. Let's give him credit for doing something good because that Bar really needed to be closed! It was creepy inside. I don't think, however, that he's going to write that book about Imette St. Guillen that he wanted to write. Further, if you check this website:

You'll see that you're redirected to something that isn't what used to be there. To view the correct website, I used the Internet Archive Wayback site, which gave this result:

Here you'll see what was started as something that appeared good, but then became a matter of costs and disagreement among us. The page had errors, one of which was the address of The Falls bar. It's 218, not 217 Lafayette Street! The biggest shame was the Guestbook, which you can't view. There were a number of references for 'Tamiflu' put in by someone who appeared to be trying to discredit us. Sound familiar? Similar vandalism with some of the stuff that a certain someone is trying to pull on this page. By the way, could we use the first top picture of Imette instead of the dull one on the Wikipedia page? Please let me know, and sorry about the long post.--MurderWatcher1 22:44, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Last Edit on Imette St. Guillen

ImGz: Your comment:

I've recently removed the addresses from the St. Guillen article. You might want to read over what Wikipedia is not. I've removed those particular addresses because wikipedia is not a directory (or the yellow pages) and it is not vitally important for those addresses to be in the article. I might also add in regards to headers, keep it simple. For example previously in the article you had Darryl Littlejohn -- one of the bouncers at The Falls it's easier to read a header as Darryl Littlejohn.. if they want to know who he is they'll read about it in the article. Anyway hope this helps. --ImGz 00:09, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

The reason I put that in there was, as you may have noticed, the similarities of the addresses for both bars! Pioneer is 218 and The Falls is also 218 but both are on different streets, Bowery and Lafayette respectively, so I wanted to eliminate any confusion on this minor matter to anyone researching St. Guillen's story. Maybe revert it back?--MurderWatcher1 21:09, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Okay, so Wikipedia is not a map, etc. Nevertheless, in some encyclopedia's you do have some pictures of maps (of limited terrain or even a whole country) and I thought the additional detail might be interesting, especially for those readers who might want to make the SoHo area a 'travel' point. By the way, you didn't give me an answer on my previous above post.--MurderWatcher1 17:12, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Kappa Delta discussion edits

Hey, I just saw that you commented on my page, so I'm editing this now.

In deleting my own initial comments, I no longer thought they were necessary as I explained myself again. And I took down another of my own comments that no one else has responded to. I don't see what the problem with this is. Other pages tend to clean up their discussion pages after issues have been discussed/resolved...

I'm not trying to be rude, just genuinely asking a question here. Liz 18:48, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

ImGz: If you have time, kindly check on the new page that I had created for Boitumelo McCallum and please let me know what you think.--MurderWatcher1 19:57, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Go right ahead and edit it! If you can find a free image of her that would be great! It would be good if some of her family 'weighed-in' on this page (I hope they like it). BTW, are there any "software page counters" (something like 'cookies') in Wikipedia? By that I mean, how many people have looked at a particular page? FYI, I won't be online again until Monday so enjoy yourself tomorrow. See the Jodie Foster flick "The Brave One" if you can. Jodie Rocks!--MurderWatcher1 21:05, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
