January 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to White people, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Bongwarrior (talk) 06:20, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Black Power. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 06:44, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And your black power vandalism was reverted straight away so not only did you disrupt wikipedia to make a point, you failed to actually make the point you were trying to make. Please only edit contructively from now on. We are all here to write an encylopedia. Note that Wikipedia is my business.Theresa Knott | The otter sank 06:53, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: your comment, your edit to Black Power was not really the best way to prove your point (defacing an article is never useful). I've personally reverted literally dozens of vandal edits on that article - I and a number of other editors have it "watchlisted" which means we notice new and suspicious changes when we are editing wikipedia. Your edit was reverted within two minutes. Sometimes it takes less time, sometimes more, but in the end the kind of article vandalism you engaged in to make a point is removed in short order. I imagine it works about the same way on the Black Power article as it does on the White Power article (I have nothing to do with the latter article and have no interest in even spending any time there). If you stick around Wikipedia (and I hope you do) you might get a better sense of how we work to remove vandalism of articles. Drop me a line if you ever have any other comments or questions.
