A tag has been placed on Pulasyam requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Timneu22 · talk 12:49, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Chithravadham, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

There were zero google hits on this topic; it appears to be made up. — Timneu22 · talk 10:49, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Chithravadham, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chithravadham. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Sanctions

[edit]

I feel that you should be made aware of the general sanctions that apply to the Caste system in Kerala article. I attach the formal explanation below. - Sitush (talk) 13:13, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.

Hi. As you are the editor wanting to add material to the article Caste system in Kerala, and it has been disputed and reverted, the onus is on you to get a consensus in support of the changes you wish to make - and you must not re-add the new material unless you can get that consensus. I've protected the article for a week to give you time to discuss it and seek consensus - if you add it again without consensus, you may be blocked in accordance with the sanctions outlined above. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:56, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

RSN

[edit]

I notice that you have been asking various questions at WP:RSN regarding the reliability of sources in relation, broadly speaking, to the Saint Thomas Christians. That is fine, but it would be courteous to let others know that you are doing so when you raise the query there. Since these issues usually start with a discussion at an article talk page, you could simply leave a note in that discussion saying that you have asked & linking to the RSN thread. Your colleague-in-arms, Ashley thomas80, has chosen to take a similar approach to you and, frankly, I find it to be in very poor taste. Wikipedia is a collegial environment and going behind the backs of people, which is how your actions could be construed, is not at all helpful. In a worst case scenario, you could be arguing that something is reliable, I might be arguing the opposite, you take it to RSN and get a verdict that you do not like ... and because you do not like it you might choose not to let me know that consensus is in fact in my favour. Basically, you are opening yourself up to all sorts of accusations of bad faith etc. Please, think again about this method of operating. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 16:10, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Examples of what I have found:
There may of course be others. - Sitush (talk) 16:28, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And indeed there is at least one more. This is appalling behaviour. - Sitush (talk) 08:57, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Take care

Hi, you recently deleted content at Talk:Saint Thomas Christians. I assume that this was an error and I have reverted you. Please take care. - Sitush (talk) 08:34, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Help Survey

[edit]

Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.

Thank you for your time,

Help me

[edit]

Can someone move User talk:InarZan2 to User talk:InarZan. I want User talk:InarZan2 to redirect to User talk:InarZan. Not vice versa. Most importantly, I am not being notified when there is a new message in User talk:InarZan2.--InarZan Verifiable 13:28, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Varghese Payapilly Palakkappilly

[edit]

We are going to have to go through either a RfC or a Requested move for Varghese Payapilly Palakkappilly. There is no point in all this to-ing and fro-ing between the various possible names - it could go on for ever, whereas the outcome of a formal process would achieve stability. - Sitush (talk) 06:57, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New deal for page patrollers

[edit]

Hi InarZan,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Chithravadham" listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has identified a potential problem with the redirect Chithravadham and has thus listed it for discussion. This discussion will occur at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2022 March 20#Chithravadham until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 23:48, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
