A tag has been placed on Phase VI Media, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Phase VI Media and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Corvus cornixtalk 22:40, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's now vandalism? what's going on? there's no vandalism here. I was contesting the accusation of advertising, must i now contest the accusation of vandalism too? I can't see where the vandalism element comes into it. The page appears to have been removed already, therefore it seems there is nothing there to vandalise. Hello – I've provided your original text at User:Inkwilson/Phase VI. You can't see it at Phase VI Media because it was deleted, and only administrators can see the text of deleted pages.

It needs some work – it should sound less like a magazine article and more like encyclopedic content. I've given you some good places to consult so your first article will be acceptable, meaning deletion-resistant. When you've finished and you think it's ready to move into the article space, see the instructions at WP:USERFY for the next steps, or you can ask me for help. Don't give up – sometimes editors are too quick on the 'delete' button, and I think that's the case here. Be patient, write it well, and it should stand if it meets the notability requirements for businesses. Welcome again! - KrakatoaKatie 03:13, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ma (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File source and copyright licensing problem with File:How to Swim Live 2007.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:How to Swim Live 2007.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 09:13, 1 July 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:13, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Genesis P and Me Cover.jpg[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Genesis P and Me Cover.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. I would suggest that you follow the instructions at WP:OTRS to verify the ownership of the image. Once the claim is cleared through OTRS, a sysop/admin will take care of restoring the image. Skier Dude (talk 02:26, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on The Low Miffs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. roleplayer 12:08, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Per your request, I have restored it to User:Inkwilson/The Low Miffs. Work on it there, and when it is to a point where you don't believe it will be speedyable you can move it back out into the mainspace or ask me to do it. Thanks! Syrthiss (talk) 12:21, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 12:35, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Niagarama[edit]

Hello Inkwilson,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Niagarama for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Zeke Sonxx (Whine) 01:22, 9 March 2014 (UTC) "As reviewing admin, I removed the tag, because the artist has an article and the speedy criterion does not apply. That doesn't mean the subject is notable--see the criteria at WP:MUSIC and make sure there are references to show the subject meets them. DGG ( talk ) 07:09, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
