Images of Carrington[edit]

How on earth did you manage to come across that image of the interior of the Carrington gym? Surely you must work there because the place isn't typically open to the public... – PeeJay 11:43, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would like an answer to this question, please. If you do work at Carrington, you must declare that fact per WP:COI. – PeeJay 20:15, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, mate, but I certainly don't have to tell you where I do or don't work. Civil liberty and all that... --Irish321 (talk) 22:58, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You don't have to tell me where you work, but if you have a conflict of interests, it would be in your favour to declare it. The fact that you have uploaded photographs of what is supposed to be a closed facility is suspicious enough for me to conduct an investigation. – PeeJay 00:30, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
We're on the same side mate, investigate all you want. Good luck... --Irish321 (talk) 01:17, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I just want to make sure everything that goes on here is all above board and legal. Trust me, it's nothing personal, I'm just naturally sceptical. – PeeJay 01:24, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
His invitation to investigate proved very easy to accept: He works for the Technical Bureau of the Garda Síochána. — O'Dea (talk) 07:01, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Image question[edit]

We don't accept non-commercial use images. You state in the upload of File:Irish Directorate of Intelligence (G2) Headquarters.jpg that it is: Non-commercial, free-use image. Do you mean that is it usable commercially or not? You image must be freely licenced which means that anyone can use it for anything including commercial use. Is that what you mean? Or do you not permit commercial use. The licence you attached is a free licence but the additional text is confusing and may not even need to be there. The same applies to File:Irish Special Detective Unit HQ.png. BTW, how did you take that photo because airspace over Dublin is restricted quite tightly? Please let me know so I can verify the licence. We do not accept "Free use"images that do not comply with all 10 non-free content policy guidelines and this would appear to fail WP:NFCC#1. Drop me a "{{talkback}}" so I know you have replied here. Thanks ww2censor (talk) 23:06, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's all good now, sorry for the confusion. The images are mine, can be freely used by anyone who wishes for anything. I mean to say that they were not taken for commercial purposes, but for educational purposes. They can be used commercially or non-commercially. Thanks. --Irish321 (talk) 18:48, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Who is Madge speaking to, and where?[edit]

Derek: Can you please document File:Garda Special Branch Bodyguard.jpg to say where you took the picture and who was greeting Windsor when you released the shutter. Thank you. — O'Dea (talk) 06:56, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
