Your userpage and username[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Issa Musse Clans", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because usernames which appear to represent or promote a specific organziation, company, or even a group of people are not allowed per WP:ORGNAME and WP:ISU. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:30, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Issa Musse Clans. It appears that you might be using your userpage to work on a userspace draft for a possible Wikipedia article. While there's nothing wrong with doing such a thing for a short while, that's not really what a userpage is intended to be used for, and your userpage might be mistaken for something considered to be a fake article or an attempt to use it as a free web host. If you really are working on a draft, a much better place for you to do that would be in User:Issa Musse Clans/sandbox, the draft namespace or as a proper userspace draft on a separate user subpage. If you're not sure how to move the content from your userpage to one of these other things, you can add Template:Help me to this talk page and another editor will help you, or you can ask for help at the Wikipedia Teahouse. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:37, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Issa Musse Clans[edit]

Hi Marchjuly , because my username is a not own name I would like to to change my username as ISSA MUSSE or CIISE MUUSE But Wikipedia says: There have already used The Issa Musse username in the Wikipedia that’s way I used my username as ISSA MUSSE CALNS. Here there is a not any promotion about The Issa Musse Somali clan and we don’t want promotions but we want to write a fact about Issa Musse Clan. Issa Musse Clans (talk) 06:07, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You might not being trying to promote anything, but I'm pretty sure you still cannot have a username which implies you represent a specfic group of people. You can probably change your username to something which keeps the "Issa Musse Clan" part but adds an individual identifier; for example, "Issa Musse Clan <your real name or some other individual indentifier>" might work.
While it's understandable that you want to write the facts about the clan, there are two problems with that. The first problem is that as a member of the clan, you're probably going to be considered to have at least an WP:APPARENTCOI, which means you might not be able to write about the subject in a neutral manner. While Wikipedia is concerned about facts, it's more concerned about fact which can be verified through an examination of independent and secondary reliable sources; in other words, Wikipedia is not really interested in what the clan has to say about itself, but rather with others independent of the clan have to say about it. The second problem is that only subjects deemed to be Wikipedia notable can really have stand-alone articles written about them, and the way this is assessed is by determining whether the subject has received significant coverage in reliable sources; something simply existing is not sufficient justification for a Wikipedia article written about it.
One thing about Wikipedia articles that you might not realize as that even if you are able to create such an article, you will not have any final editorial control over it. Article content is determined based upon whether it is considered acceptable per relative Wikipedia policies and guidelines, and negative content about the clan can be added as long as it complies with these policies and guidelines; similarly any factual content which you may add which is seen as being promotional or unsupported by citations to reliable sources can be removed by others at anytime.
I'm not trying to discourage, but many new editors misundertand what Wikipedia is about and quickly find themselves having problems editing. My suggestion to you would be to post something about what you'd like to do at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Somalia, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Africa or maybe even Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ethnic groups to see if you can find someone more experienced at writing articles, who also is familiar about the subject matter, to help you figure out whether (1) a stand-alone article about the clan should be written and (2) how to best write such an article if it can. No subject has a right to have an Wikipedia article written about it, and articles which don't comply with relevant policies and guidelines will utimately end up deleted.
Now, about your user page, you cannot use it to create a permanent webpage for the clan per WP:U5; so, as I suggested above, you should move the content either to your user sandbox, the draft namespace or a userspace draft. If you're not sure how to do this, then you can ask for help (as I also stated above) and someone will help you. The longer you leave your userpage as is, the greater the chance that an administrator will come along and delete it. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:49, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

December 2018[edit]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Longhair\talk 12:10, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
