User talk:Ivan val
Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Slovenian phonology. Firstly thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic one which we already have a page - :{article}. Your enthusiasm is fantastic, but unfortunately your article has been nominated for deletion in accordance with our policies. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we'd love for you to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at :{article} - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest this deletion by adding hangon
to the top of the article you created (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on Talk:Slovenian phonology explaining your position, although an administrator may still believe deletion to be necessary. Regardless, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, as doing such often creates unnecessary confusion. If you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Hang in there and try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions.

- In reply to your comment at my talkpage. First of all, I'm sorry of the problems concerning the phonology page. As I'm not an admin, I did not delete your page, I simply tagged it for deletion. Then, it is up to an admin to assess the article and decide if the article needs to be deleted. Simply going through the backlog of unreviewed created pages, I stumbled upon your page. A quick search made clear the information was properly included in the Slovenian language article. So, I listed your page for deletion, as I did for countless pages this week, and an admin thought the listing was correct and deleted the page. Absolutely no hard feelings, I simply did not know about the troubling history of the article. The sheer amount of new articles that need to be checked sometimes makes for mistakes and unpleasant situations.
Please accept my apologies, I absolutely did not want to offend you. As is often the case on Wikipedia, there was no intention to block your efforts or anything similar. Keep on editing, we need and appreciate it, even though it may not always show..
Kind regards, Pim Rijkee (talk) 00:43, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
