Help me![edit]

Please help me with... I'm trying to add someone to a page called "Deaths on October 1, 2015" but it keeps getting deleted. I don't know why. I got a message from someone saying it doesn't conform to Wikipedia's policies. I'd be more than happy to conform to the policies, but if I don't learn how, I'm still gonna continue to add this person to the list. I am trying to add a 13 year old boy named Caleb Logan who tragically died unexpectedly on October 1, 2015 in Maryland. He was a YouTube celebrity. He means a lot to me and millions of other people and I want him on that list one way or another. Like I said, I'm more than willing to conform to the policies, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Caleb doesn't have a wiki page, so I'm not able to reference a wiki page. However, I reference another external link from famousbirthdays. Please help me conform to the policies so I don't have to repeatedly re-add our beloved Caleb to that list. I'd really appreciate it!

This is what I'm trying to add:

I'll re-add him over and over and over again if I have to. Even if I have to use different accounts, different computers, or even a different houses. I'll do my best to write a wiki page for him, but if it doesn't work out, I'll have to resort to that. I never use wiki either, so getting blocked won't hurt me. I just want to add what I would consider the brother I never had to this list.

J.Viper19

Hi, as per policy, "The deaths listed on this page are only for people for whom there is a Wikipedia article (no red links and no redirects)." So you can't add a person who doesn't have a Wikipedia article. For more see Page notice. ·•·1997kB 05:54, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And if you "repeatedly re-add" him, you will be blocked from Wikipedia. WWGB (talk) 08:04, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I want to create a Wiki article![edit]

Please help me with... I just spent a lot of time working on a wiki article for someone and now I'm wanting to publish it. I need someone to tell me whether it's ready to publish or not. If not, please tell me what I need to do. I'm not familiar with Wikipedia, as I don't use it that much, so I'll need to be told how to fix my mistakes in a 2nd grade manner. If it is ready to publish, I need to know how to go about doing that. Again, I'll need to be told how to in a 2nd grade manner. Down below is my article. Thanks in advance!

Caleb Logan LeBlanc, (July 13, 2002 – October 1, 2015), was an American YouTube celebrity. He was best known for his involvment with the "Bratayley" YouTube channel which he ran with his mother, father, and two sisters. Unfortunately, Caleb Logan, otherwise known as "Baked Potato" by his millions of fans, passed away on October 1, 2015, at exactly 7:08PM EST, due to a hereditary heart condition known as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, which went undetected for an undetermined amount of time.

During Life[edit]

Caleb was born in Georgia, USA[2] and began his YouTube career on September 17, 2010, when he launched his gaming channel under the name blazenoutlaws. He uploaded videos on a variety of different games, one of which was Minecraft.[3] His true career, however, began on December 30, 2010, when his parents launched the Bratayley channel for his youngest sister, Hayley.[4] He began appearing in videos with his two younger siblings and his parents where they would vlog their everyday life in Maryland, USA. Caleb was only 8 years old when he first appeared on the Bratayley channel.[5] In 2012, Caleb was given the nickname "Baked Potato" by his family and viewers due to a song he created where he sang about being a baked potato. In the video titled "I Am a Baked Potato! (WK 83.5)", Caleb is seen singing "I Am a Baked Potato" with his sisters, earning him the forever nickname "Baked Potato". He owned a variety of different pets throughout his life, two of which were Guinea Pigs.[6] When he was just 11 years old, Caleb received braces.[7] He kept them for a straight 2 years until he finally got them off on April 9, 2015, just six-months before his tragic, unfortunate, sad, and untimely passing. He was a passionate baseball player, but an even more passionate YouTuber. In a Bratayley video titled "Have You Ever? (WK 233.4)", Caleb says he has thought about quitting baseball but never dreamed of quitting YouTube. He played in multiple baseball leagues[8] and wore the number seven proudly on the back of his jersey.[9] His favorite food dish was Macaroni and Cheese[10] and his favorite place to go eat was IHOP and Texas Roadhouse.[11] He had a smile that could light up the darkest room, a smile that everyone who met him could remember. Caleb was, and most certainly still is, loved unconditionally by millions of people across the world. Caleb had a very unique personality. Everything from his incredibly funny sense of humor and weirdness, to his incredible thoughtful behavior towards other people. Caleb was very appreciative towards life and other people in it. He appreciated everything he was given throughout his life. Many people who knew or even watched him would agree that Caleb was a true inspiration to many people of many races and religions.

After Death[edit]

After the tragic and unexpected loss of our beloved Caleb, many questioned how a seemingly healthy and young teenage boy could suddenly pass away without any warning or signs of sickness. Soon after he passed away, Caleb's parents confirmed that Caleb had passed away due to natural causes. It was later revealed by a Medical Examiner, that Caleb had passed away due to an undetectable heart condition known as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy which is a condition that runs through his family.[12] Soon after Caleb's unfortunate passing, his parents announced that they would be live streaming his memorial service on Periscope (app) for all his fans to pay their respects.[13] Immediately after announcing Caleb's passing on Instagram, fans began to question whether or not it was true. Unfortunately, it became apparent that it was, and that indeed Caleb did pass away. His time of death was recorded at 7:08PM EST on October 1, 2015.[14] Though it has been 2 years since this unforgettable tragedy, family, friends, and fans still continue to grieve over the shocking loss that occurred that terrible day. Since his passing, fans have decided to wear purple, which was Caleb's favorite color, during his birthday (July 13th), and the day that we can NEVER forget (October 1st).[15] After his passing, Caleb's parents urged everyone to celebrate Caleb's life rather than mourn it, as they believe Caleb wouldn't want people to mourn him, but rather be happy and continue to enjoy life as if he were still here. Though it is definitely easier said than done, family, friends, and fans have tried to honor that. However, even though it's been 2 years since we've lost the funniest, most loving individual any of us have ever seen, we will still continue to miss him. Caleb has made such a huge impact on the YouTube community. He has inspired a ton of fans over the years with his quirky sense of humor and his loving attitude towards others. Caleb has been and will forever be admired by many people due to his intense love for life and people. No matter how much time passes between now and October 1, 2015, Caleb Logan will forever be remembered as the greatest YouTube legend that has ever lived!

Hi, I'm not sure publishing this article will be possible, but I'm here to help you get started. I've collapsed the draft for now since it needs to be moved to its own page. I can do this for you if you like.
The next problem with getting this published is to figure out if you have independent references that will establish notability. I see a few candidates in your list of references, but we'll need to go over them more carefully. Some of the references appear to be duplicated and some of the references are to sources that Wikipedia does not use (because they are user-generated content).
Shall we get started? — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 04:19, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I've looked at the sources. I'm afraid IMDB and famousbirthdays.com are not acceptable sources for Wikipedia, so those citations and anything written in the draft based on them will have to go, unless we can find other sources.
The closest thing you have to an independent source is the People Celebrity page. The other sources do not appear to be independent because they are simply repeating information that the subject's family has put out.
There's also a problem that we have no sources that cover his career as a YouTube celebrity from before his death. Without something like that, we have a situation which is usually called WP:ONEEVENT – which, if that's the case, means we don't have notability. You also seem to be quite invested in this project, which gets us into conflict of interest territory and we don't want to fall afoul of the clear policy at WP:MEMORIAL. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 05:05, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, the wikia information is also user-generated, so not acceptable. There'a also a lot of non-neutral language in your draft that will have to be redone for this to become an encyclopedia article. I'll check back with this page tomorrow, but you can get help from other editors, too. Just take away the "-working" in the {{help me}} template above or ask in the Teahouse. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 05:21, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
