Welcome on my talk page. You can leave here your comments and questions.

I have restored the redirects from the above referenced page to that of the district. Community standards and outcomes direct editors to redirect pages about nonnotable primary and middle schools to that of the district or geographical community. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. Best regards, Cind.amuse (Cindy) 07:03, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cind.amuse. I first undid your redirect because I can't see any virtue in removing verified information from Wikipedia—a redirect to the district page without any inclusion of the school information in the district page is, in effect, equivalent to page deletion. I also found support for the idea of keeping the school page here. I also believe that often a school is not just a school. In the present case, given that Sunny Brae was a town before it amalgamated with Moncton, Sunny Brae School is of special value from a local history point of view. It is useful to have access to the historical references listed in the origial article—material that is, again, lost with the redirect to the district page. As we know, the line is hard to draw; why redirect the well-sourced Sunny Brae Middle School page, and not all those other ones (Beaverbrook, Bessborough, Evergreen, Lou MacNarin) listed on the School District 2 page? I would not delete nor redirect those pages; I find them useful, if only because they are potentially interesting pages when developed beyond their current stub-state. When in doubt, I prefer to err on the side of generosity. Let's not redirect! — J. J. F. Nau 15:26, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
