Welcome![edit]

Hello, J3 Mângo, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Proxima Centauri did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome!  Drmies (talk) 23:03, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

December 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm That Tired Tarantula. I noticed that you recently removed content from HD 100546 without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. That Tired Tarantula (talk) 23:57, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I’m really sorry but the page needs fixing as someone has broken it. J3 Mângo (talk) 00:12, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to HD 100546, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Schminnte [talk to me] 00:07, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I’m trying to fix it as someone has broken the page but I can’t put the info in the right place. J3 Mângo (talk) 00:09, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about this, it's obvious that this has just been a good faith mistake. I hope you don't feel too attacked by this event. All the best, Schminnte [talk to me] 19:53, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Don’t worry about it, I’m alright. J3 Mângo (talk) 21:06, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to HD 100546, you may be blocked from editing. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 00:11, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at HD 100546. That Tired Tarantula (talk) 00:12, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Look sorry! But someone broke the page and I’m trying to fix the mess but I have made it worse. I will stop editing the page so someone else can fix it. J3 Mângo (talk) 00:19, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, it took a long time for me to notice these messages; as of now, the issue with the page appears to have been fixed; thank you for trying to fix the problem when it was still there. However, I decided to revert those edits because they removed content from the article instead of moving it to a better place and because it was difficult for me to tell that it wasn't a normal unexplained content removal because you didn't elaborate much in edit summaries. In the future, please make sure to cut and paste the content so that it's outside of the table that it's in instead of completely removing it, and please try to explain content removals more in edit summaries so that other editors don't get confused and revert the removal. Thank you for editing. That Tired Tarantula (talk) 18:32, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! J3 Mângo (talk) 19:44, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!

Blank pages[edit]

Please do not create blank pages. If you want to work on creating an article, then you should create them in draftspace first. Simply add the "Draft:" prefix on the title of any page you want to create, like this: Draft:Example. Thank you. CycloneYoris talk! 21:33, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Just to add to this, if you go to WP:AFC, and simply follow the prompts creating drafts is easy and when ready you can simply hit the submit button to have them reviewed. 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:283A:5CE6:DBC1:CA23 (talk) 22:14, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
