User:Jbuds?nhgn
You may not remember, but back a few months ago you helped with an abusive sock puppeteer Jbuds?nhgn (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). He was particularly targeting user:JzG for harassment, though I'm not sure why. Anyway, he was just identifed as being a sock puppet of Primetime (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), who's been a longterm problem. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Primetime so having more admins involved will help. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 02:01, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Georgina Bencsik
I noticed that you closed the AfD on Bencsik. The article was recreated as Georgina Bencsik (Canadian politician) just a few hours later. I asked for that to be speedy deleted and it was but has since been recreated again. You might want to keep an eye on that. Thanks. --JGGardiner (talk) 03:47, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- The editor removed your message on my talk page but a kind recent patroller restored it. The funny thing is that I looked around for information on Bencsik and I didn't see much. She has a small campaign site from a previous run for a party position. I'm not familiar with her but I don't know that she'll be the candidate. I'm sure that we'll all be getting busier with more of these as the election gears up. Anyway, thanks again. --JGGardiner (talk) 01:43, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
thx
<font=3> Thanks for your support, my request for adminship passed 60/0/0 on Monday!
I want to thank Mrs.EasterBunny and Royalbroil for nominating me, those who updated the RfA tally, and everyone for their support and many kind words. To paraphrase a president ... I wish my mum and dad could see the comments made. My dad would be so proud to see the comments ... and my mum would have believed them". I will do my best to use the new tools carefully and responsibly (and you may be surprised to find that I have not deleted all of the pages by accident..... yet). Thanks again, Victuallers (talk) 13:56, 23 January 2008 (UTC) |

Tornado lists
Hi - I'm just wondering how you come up with these. I know on the NCDC site there is a listing of all tornadoes, but from what I can tell one tornado will be broken up into multiple listings if it crosses a county line (one listing per county). Is there a quick way to see through this? thanks! Gopher backer (talk) 16:39, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, that's very helpful! Sure enough though, the first list I check had an error in (listed 1 tornado as 2). It's still better than anything else out there though! Gopher backer (talk) 18:42, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
My RfA
Thanks for your support at my request for adminship, which passed today with 42/0/0!
I would like to thank Wizardman for nominating me, JForget/Archives 7 and everyone else for their support and comments. I'll continue with contributing to the encyclopedia's content (hopefully writing an FA here and there :) and will help out with admin-related tasks which you just entrusted me with. If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask! Thanks again, —dima/talk/ 01:46, 26 January 2008 (UTC) |

My RFA
Thanks! | ||
JForget/Archives 7, thank you for showing your support in my RFA which passed with 38 support, 0 oppose, and 0 neutral! I also want to give special thanks to my Admin Coach and nominator, Useight for all of his help and support. I promise that I'll give my best effort as an admin, and I hope that your confidence in me proves to be justified. If I can ever be of any help, please let me know. In the mean time, I have some cleaning to do. Have a great day! Jauerbackdude?/dude. 20:20, 26 January 2008 (UTC) |

Thanks for participating in my RfA! | ||
Although it failed 43/27/0, I'm happy because the outcome has been very helpful in many meaningful ways. Your support and remarks contributed so much to this. If you followed my RfA you know what happened. Most of the editors who posted opposing opinions have never edited with me. Some articles I edit deal with controversial topics and with respect to a very few of these, editors who didn't know much about me had some worries about confrontational editing and civility. Since I support their high standards I can easily (and will gladly) address this. The support and ecouragement to run again soon has been wonderful, thanks again. Cheers! My Rfa
Well, not this time anyway it seems...my effort to regain my adminship was unsuccessful, but your support was still very much appreciated. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Thank you!--MONGO 06:59, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry you felt I am inexperienced to become an admin. I hope that by performing more edits on Wikipedia in the next few months that I could possibly change your mind by my next RfA, possibly around May 2008. - Jameson L. Tai talk ♦ contribs 04:49, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

AJE stuff
Hi there. An IP left a note on my talk page pointing out User talk:DGG#American Journal Experts. I wonder if you were aware of User talk:Bduke#Regarding deleting of American Jour...? There was also something very brief at ANI: see Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Archive123#American Journal Experts. I see that you dealt with this earlier, see here, so I'm leaving you this note. I've also asked Bduke and DGG what is going on. Not sure where the discussion (if any is needed) should be centralised (don't want to start another ANI thread yet), but if you have any comments on insights into what happened here, please add them here or on the other talk pages. Thanks. Carcharoth (talk) 02:00, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for clearing that up. Carcharoth (talk) 02:33, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- No problem, unfortunately, I'm not aware of anymore more stuff right now.--JForget 02:37, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- I in fact sent the talk page several days ago. As far as i can tell, there where was neither libel nor compromising information in it. Full reply at User talk:Carcharoth. DGG (talk) 03:41, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Great Lakes Film Fest
Hi! I was the deleting admin on Great Lakes Film Fest when it was deleted in May, 2007, and which you just deleted a bit ago. Perhaps you missed it, but on the talk page I mentioned that the article author had contacted me via email. I requested that we keep the article for a couple of days while I discussed things with the author, as deletion during a good-faith discussion can seem very provocative to those unfamiliar with our ways. In the future, it'd be great if you checked the discussion on the talk page before deletion. Thanks, William Pietri (talk) 02:48, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for restoring that for now. Barring the appearance of some great sources, I don't expect the article to last long. But I want to give the user the opportunity to come to terms with that. Or to come up with the sources, which would be even better. Thanks, William Pietri (talk) 03:03, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Sure no problem--JForget 03:03, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Radcliffe and O'Toole Relationship
Hi! I'm sure you remember me as the one who corresponded with you on Dan's "relationship" with Laura; I've done some digging, and the site from which their "break-up status" claims were made seems to be just a celebrity gossip site. I'm letting you know that I'm removing it, because I don't think it's fair to remove it without telling you (you've done quite some work finding that)! Thanks for the contribution, and if there's a more legit source relating to the subject, please be sure to let me know (unless we've already got it up)! BlackPearl14Hermione Granger's Muggle Alias 02:22, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- I hadn't deleted it yet, so we'll keep it up until more official stories are up. Thanks! BlackPearl14Hermione Granger's Muggle Alias 02:29, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I checked, and yes, though there are many sources, they're all celebrity gossip sources. As per WP:SOURCES and WP:VERIFY (Wikipedia Policies), we can't put the Toole-Cliff relationship on the page (excuse the lame shipping name). So until there is an actual, verifying source, we won't do so. If you wish to respond, please respond on my talk page; it confuses others when you type on the Dan Radcliffe article. Thanks! BlackPearl14Hermione Granger's Muggle Alias 03:52, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, great. Remember, if there is a more reliable source, we'll definitely put it up. You can do those honors if that is so. :) BlackPearl14Hermione Granger's Muggle Alias 17:18, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
Thank you

Cherry Blossom
Hello JForget. I followed your advice and created a test subpage for the Cherry Blossom content. Please take a look at the page and let me know what you think. I purposely took out any images in order to avoid any copyright infringements and all the new text is my own. Please let me know if you have any further questions. I really hope that my page cuts the mustard this time.
