Disambiguation link notification for December 24[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Xide (drink), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Carlsberg (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Golden Cap (cider) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Bob Re-born (talk) 12:24, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Golden Cap (cider) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A brand of apple cider, page makes no claim of notability and does not cite any secondary sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. old decisions[edit]

hello;

i was just working on restoring an article jelq that had gone through the very familliar cycle of merge<redirect<vanish (the word itself actually no longer appeared in the redirected-to article).

in restoring, i noticed that there had been a deletion discussion, & that you were the admin who closed the discussion as "no consensus"

the opinions (all with comments) counted out as 7 keep, 3 deletion & one neutral.

i do not understand how that becomes a "no consensus"?

please explain what i'm missing here?

Just wanted to give you a heads-up, since you had deleted Association of Performing Arts Presenters some years ago. The article you deleted was totally uncited, etc., but I believe the organization is (very) notable, and I've undeleted and attempted a rescue. Do let me know if you have any problem with the article as it now stands, especially if you think I haven't justified that as notable enough. I'd hope I can address any issues you might still have. - Jmabel | Talk 07:32, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Eldrad[edit]

Here's a link to a site which hosts Dotor Who Episodes, directly to the episode Hand of Fear which includes Eldrad. I can't comment on the copyright status of the episode in Finland, of course. The backstory that you need to know is that the long curly-haired guy in the floppy hat and long scarf is the Doctor, a time-travelling alien, The blue box (TARDIS) is his spaceships, and Sarah, the pretty girl in the pink overalls is a human journalist who has been his companion on various dangerous adventures. The Doctor is trying to take her home, but he has navigation problems... μηδείς (talk) 21:03, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Markdown implementations[edit]

Hi JIP,

I noticed you closed the prod for "List of Markdown implementations". Could you provide temp access to the list, or alternatively, the names of the two entries that have WP articles? I would like to add these to Markdown as mentioned in the prod.

Thanks, --Mark viking (talk) 06:49, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rev. Stuart Campbell[edit]

I recently completed the article for Rev. Stuart Campbell. I contacted the Reverend today to let him know that he was the subject of an new WP entry, and while rather pleased, he did state that he had to request the deletion of his previous article (and that was before all the "Scottish Independence debate") due to continual edit-warring. As he is a much more prominent figure since the last the article was created, may I request that you keep an eye out and quickly move to semi-protect if the need arises? Thanks. Speedy deletion nomination of Nacktfussball[edit]

Hello JIP,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nacktfussball for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 08:13, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, sources accepted (I am a natural German speaker). However, in view of the large number of deletions and proposed deletions to your creations, perhaps you will now begin to understand the importance of establishing notability before you post new articles. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 08:43, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Thanks for your comments on the merge proposal. Having left it a week and having had no further comments, I think its time for decisions.
Having had 3 agree that merging is commonsense, and the only "opposition" just wanting the article deleting all together... The commonsense outcome would be to merge.

However the one wanting the article deleted has decided that that is not acceptable and that his view must go above the agreement of the wider community... and so has reverted the merge.

Not being the most expert at merging (this is the first one I had proposed) I was looking for some feedback on what the next step would be; the one wanting it deleted rather than merged doesn't strike me as open to common-sense or reasoned discussion.

Thanks
